I've been wanting to do this for awhile so
HI EVERYONE
I'm wanting to teach some newcomers the wonder that is playing RPGs :V You probably know of D&D if you know any of them, and since we're all nerds here I'll be surprised if you have no idea what Dungeons and Dragons is.
Sadly I'm not here to ask to play that.
As I said before, I'd like to get some people pretty much brand new to RPGs in general. You could have tried a few of them but just never had the time to play before, or maybe you've been wanting to give them a shot but could never find a group. We're all RPers here at the very least, so the hardest part (IMO) is already done.
I want to run a small campaign of the game FATE, which is a very rules-light system focused primarily on just role-playing but with the added use of dice. It's very simplistic and easy to explain, but most importantly there's a free version available for everyone here:
Seriously this is pay-what-you-want aka free
I can run multiple games on the off chance a lot of people want to try it. \o/ I can also get a friend to run a game since he's good for it too.
Games can be done via play-by-post (It's just like RPing, only with dice!) or we can set up something through Rule20 (which is also free and completely online and awesome).
There is a goal to this, aside from teaching people about awesome hobbies and games.
I want to run a Re:dux-based campaign within the world of Shadowrun.
/and holy shit if you haven't heard of Shadowrun but you like this site's setting, it'll have your fancy/
