Crap, the pink-haired guy had totally seen him fall. Dante felt a bead of sweat roll down his face, and it only grew worse when everyone seemed to ignore him. It could have been that they were all thinking about ways to use fire for this puzzle, or maybe he hadn't spoken loud enough to be heard.
Oh, but the pink-haired guy had a lighter! That was perfect. After Lucente told the man to put out his cigarette, Dante opened his mouth to speak, to ask the man to use his lighter. But a sudden yelp made Dante jump. He spun around to see Lucente back away from… uhh… wait, what had spooked her?
Dante looked left and right, but he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary—just the crazy reflection. It took far too long for him to see the shadowy creature inside the floor, but when he did, he jolted. "Whoa!" He watched the strange thing for a moment. It was standing upside-down inside the reflection, right up against it, as if it was on the other side of a window. But it wasn't actually on the surface here.
The confusion made Dante's head feel fuzzy, and he shook himself to stay focused. The creature clearly had the key in its mouth. "Guys," he said to the group, keeping his voice hushed. "Look. That thing's got the key." He pointed to the creature in case anyone had a hard time finding it like he had. The more he stared at it, though, the more he started to wonder why the creature was only inside the reflection and not on the surface with the team. "Where do you think it is?" he asked to anyone who would listen. "Do you think it's—like—actually here, on our side, but invisible somehow?" The idea that maybe the reflection was—in fact—not a reflection hadn't even crossed Dante's mind. He simply assumed the creature was somewhere above the "water," and so he looked to the ceiling, checking the chandeliers for any signs of the weird little animal.Saw the creature Pointed the creature out to everyone else Checked the ceiling for any signs of the creature

As she stared into the water surface, something seemed off to Gaia. Everything that was in the room, reflected just as it would in a reflection of something so clear. But at the same time it was like there was no bottom or depth to the water. And yet at the same time it felt like something was staring back to her as she shook her head and stood back up to look around a little more. Just as she did so, she heard a yelp from her tour guide and a smallish creature popped out of no where and took off as soon as it appeared. Where did it come from? They were the only ones in the room when they came in or so they thought and so Gaia's thoughts returned back to the water's reflection. What was behind the gaze? Monsters waiting to pounce at any moment or something more dangerous.
Staring at it again she could see the creature was in the reflection by the chandlers but looking up at the fixtures she couldn't spot it. Looking back, Gaia thought of an odd idea. "What if its...in the water itself?" She pondered out loud as she leaned forward back to look into the water and reached out to it. She worried how much pressure it would take to go through the water, seeing as they were standing on it with ease. Gaia looked around and saw a fixture nearby the chandler and turned to go over to it while taking out the stick of plant magic she stashed away earlier. Breaking it, she poured the contents into her hair and kneel at the fixture. Soon her hair started growing in length until it was long enough for her to tie it around the fixture and she could still have some movement to lean forward. "I wonder if I reach just..." She muttered as she leaned forward and placed some pressure onto the water to see if there was anyway to move through it, hopefully it wouldn't take all of her with it and just her arm.
Actions: Pondered if pool is a weird reflection Asked if the creature is in the water/different area accessed through water Used stick of magic to extend her hair Tied her hair to a fixture so she could lean into water in case something happened Leaned into the water to put pressure on it.

Ellie watched the thing run across the water and an idea struck her. She grinned, pushing her sleeves up to her forearms. Maybe she wasn't the smartest, but she knew that water was an excellent conductor. And she never left home without her faithful gloves; plus certain events with Lev had taught her to have spare ones on hand, tucked into her back pockets.
"Stand back from the water." She told them, pushing a button on her wrist. She hit a few more buttons to switch it to the power in the glove itself, rather than the battery packs hidden about herself. Didn't want to overload them and make them blow up. That would make for a very unhappy Persephone's Reign. Also she might die. That would be bad.
Once the water was cleared, she took a breath and slammed her fist to the ground at the very edge of the water. The impact was enough to activate the taser-like jolts and send them into the water. With the creature in the middle of it, there was no way to miss.

Before he could reply to the guide, she had let out a small yelp. He turned back to look at her and catch sight of some black form darting across the way with a key in its mouth. It didn't see like anything he had seen before, even if the shape was just a vague blob. But it had their objective, and the sooner the creature was captured, the sooner they could move on. Right then. To work.
"Ah, are we inside? I hadn't noticed." Kalax didn't pay the guide much mind while he took a step over the water, judging the reflection under his feet. His brow knit together with each step he took, making certain his footing would hold before putting pressure down. The cigarette rose to his lips, a cloud of smoke blown up towards the ceiling to test if there was any sort of breeze or anything that might stir the air. Next, he tapped the cigarette off and let the ashes hit the water's surface. Maybe the creature could stir it up.
Ah, though he glanced over his shoulder once he heard a voice asking them to clear the water. And he didn't much like the look of whatever she had planned. Without much hesitation, Kalax stepped back towards the entrance to clear the water, making certain he wasn't accidentally standing on it for whatever she did.
"Are you trying to kill it?" He asked, unsure what she hoped to accomplish by shocking the creature. Not to mention it could have easily melted the key and ended up with all of them stuck there. Joy.

Messages from the other group will be received next round. As such, no messages will be sent out this turn. Well...that was terribly rude, wasn't it? Lucente's lips pressed into a tight smile, and she watched as the pink haired child man stepped onto the water. She was fairly certain they'd all signed some kind of waiver agreeing to follow the rules. She...had remembered to pass that out, right? Shit. Point was he was still being a brat. But oh joy, she had another message from Jek to attend to.But back to the group. She watched the elven-eared woman press against the water, her palm sinking about half a foot into the water before being forced back up. Strangely enough though, her arm was only slightly damp. And then...oh, that seemed dangerous. Lucente wasn't exactly sure what that punch would do. There was already one unknown factor in the room so...best to back up a few steps. She watched quietly as the punch slammed into the surface, managing to send one large ripple spreading across the surface of the water. Although the electricity didn't seem to affect the creature at all, the ripple in the reflection pushed the creature backwards. Although the ripple continued on across the entire surface of the room until it stopped at the far edge, the creature had been pushed up against one of the reflections of the chandeliers. It paused for a moment, back against the upside down chandelier as it stared warily at the group.
Oh but...this was a good moment. Lucente coughed and subtly touched a button on her glove, and suddenly a gush of water came pouring down on the pink haired man. When it had finished emptying itself on him after a few long seconds she turned to him with an apologetic smile. "Oh dear, the electric shock must have messed with the sprinkler system. My apologies. I hope the setting is not too much ruined for you." Well, at least his cigarette was definitely out.The puzzle should be solved by my next post. Reminder that your group received no messages this turn and can't send any out until they complete the challenge. Gaia discovered that upon placing force on the water her hand could go in about 6 inches before being forced back out. Ellie's electricity seemed to have no effect, but the punch did send a ripple across the water ( her punch would have also sunk in the half foot before being pushed out ). The reflection of the ripple pushed the creature back against one of the reflections of the chandeliers. It is currently next to one of the reflections. Kalax got dunked on. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to pm me.

A gasp escaped Dante’s lips when he saw the nice lady grow out her hair and tie it to a chandelier. How was she doing that? He watched with wide eyes and an open mouth as she leaned forward to touch the floor. Her fingers slipped inside, tiny ripples spreading out, as if the floor was retreating from her hand. At this sight, Dante could only whisper, “Whoa.” Her hand kept diving deeper into the water, and Dante took a step forward to watch her, only to stop when someone spoke up.
The woman in the creepy mask ordered everyone to stand back, and when Dante looked to her, he saw her fiddling around with a glove… a glove that seemed to spark with electricity.
What kind of people am I with right now?
Dante darted to the entrance, standing next to the pink-haired guy. Once Taylor, Lucente, and the nice lady joined them, the lightning-fisted woman pounded the floor. Bolts surged out from her fist, and a ripple ran through the reflection, startling the shadowy creature. Both the creature and Dante were stunned in much the same way, unharmed but too dumbstruck to move.
It wasn’t until the water came crashing down on him and the pink-haired man that Dante moved, yelping at the cold water that hit the left side of his body. He jumped around, flicking the water off his body and shivering. He wasn’t as soaking wet as the pink-haired man, but he was awfully cold. Suppose he didn’t have to take a shower tonight, at least.
After a moment of rubbing his cold arm and shaking himself dry, Dante looked back to the shadowy creature. It wasn’t gone—as it had nowhere to go—and it simply sat against the reflection, watching the group. Now that the nice lady and lightning woman had proved their hands could pass through the floor, Dante toyed with the idea of catching the creature and taking the key from its mouth. It seemed a little cruel, especially after the spook it had gotten, but they needed that key, didn’t they?
Dante started walking to the side, moving in a wide circle around the creature. When he made his way around the ballroom—on the direct opposite side of the tour group—he then charged forward, rushing for the creature at top speed. He hoped that the creature would run away from him and move toward Dante’s teammates. When Dante drew closer to the creature, he leaped forward, diving for the key. His fingers dipped into the floor, cold water splashing up around his hands. He reached out, trying to catch the creature and solve this puzzle. But when his fingers sank too deep into the water, something pushed back against him. A force repelled his hands and flung them back up into Dante’s face, making him hit himself with his thumbs and forefingers. He then tumbled to a halt, missing the creature entirely. Hopefully his teammates could nab the key themselves.Got half-dunked by the water because he stood too close to Kalax Moved to the opposite side of the ballroom from the rest of the group Attempted to chase the creature toward the group Attempted to catch the creature himself, but ended up smacking himself in the face when the water pushed back against his hands

Ellie was severely disappointed to see that her shock resulted in little more than making the creature move and soaking two of her tour-mates. Well, at least seeing pink haired McScowl drenched and disgruntled was a bonus. She rubbed at her wrist; it had felt like the water had pushed back. Weird. She sighed and switched her gloves back off. Didn't want to run the battery too low, in case something happened where she really needed to fight.
She watched as Dante bolted out to try and catch the thing. There was a small twinge of worry that he might fall and drown. He'd managed to not piss her off yet; be a shame if he kicked it. "Hey, any of you know how to swim? In case that," she gestured to Dante, "falls in and starts dying."
The same push back that had sent her fist back seemed to shove Dante back when he went for the creature. With a smirk, Ellie got an idea. She ran forward and leaped to land on the water, letting herself sink enough before it launched her up. She used the momentum to push herself back up and towards where the creature was. Maybe she and Dante could corner the damn thing and capture it.

The water pushed her back, without a moment too soon because the one with gauntlets set out an electrical charge that seemed to have shocked the creature into moving. Watching it skitter across from the sheer shock (pun intended) made Gaia feel sorry for the poor dear and hoped to find a calmer way to capture it. Gaia untied her hair to the pillars just in time to watch water be dunked on the pink haired man and the young boy which caused the elven woman to hold her hand to her lips to hold back a giggle. "Oh you poor things." Gaia smiled as she pulled out a couple of handkerchiefs from her dress pockets and handed them to the two men to at least to dry off their faces before turning her attention to the creature.
The creature was over by one of the chandeliers now and it was hard to wrap her head on how to catch it. Would it be possible to get close enough to lasso it? Gaia noticed Dante making his way in a wide circle to make his way towards the creature before charging at full speed towards to. She couldn't tell if he was doing this on purpose or if he hoped to be lucky but Gaia kept her eyes on the creature to follow its movements. Then the girl with the pulsating gauntlets was using the water's forces to push herself closer to the creature. Gaia decided to keep herself near the two to watch their backs in case the creature slips by. As she watched she roped her hair into several lassos keeping on in hand and several to brush the floor. Hopefully she can react fast enough to pull on the ones trailing if the creature runs by or at least rope it if it runs towards her.
Actions: Try to help dry off Dante and pink boy Tie hair into lassos to try and trip or catch creature

The taste of cigarettes had taken little time to get used to. And the burn in his lungs never got old. Though, there was always that person that didn't quite like the habit.
Kalax watched the woman punch, his eyes following the creature as it moved - though the sudden rush of cold water dropping onto his head instantly broke his concentration. His eyes closed, a forced smile forming on his lips while he looked in the direction of their guide. The remains of his soaked cigarette was flicked towards her, his hands moving to unbutton his shirt and discard it just as he had done the coat before. Though, he stopped once a few of the buttons were open. Ah, he was being offered something to dry off. How nice."Thank you. I appreciate the gesture." He spoke in a smooth tone, offering a light bow of his head before wiping his face off. At least the red goop was entirely off now. A hand raked through his fringe to push the hair back, shoulders rolling while he pulled the shirt fully off and tossed it at their oh so lovely guide. "I quite hope no one minds." He didn't much care if anyone actually heard him speak, but seeing as his top half was now bare - well, better to say something than not. He hadn't exactly expected to end up stripping in such a way once the night began.
Really, he could have just used one of his knives to cut the creature off, but that might earn him another strike from their amazing tour guide. Instead, Kalax moved forward in the room, looping wide from the others while they went after the thing. Cut off the escape and let someone grab it. Or, better yet... Kalax hopped on his toes and darted forward towards his teammates, going low with his hand outstretched to either grab the creature, or the key. Whichever worked out best.
Wasn't he being so kind? Actually assisting. got soaked and stripped currently shirtless gj lucente debated pulling out a knife to cut the creature off, decided to just try and move it towards a corner to take the key. went low to try and get the key

From here on out, it is optional to send a message to the opposing group. However, the same rules of one sentence and not repeating who you've sent to still apply. Oh dear, she hadn't meant for the white-haired boy to get caught in the burst of water. That sort of punishment was really just reserved for jerks of the worst nature, and he was anything but. Ah, but he didn't seem all that bothered by it, so it was alright she supposed. She kept the strained smile and side stepped the cigarette thrown at her, doing the same with the shirt. She hoped he got the flu when all this was over.
But she turned her gaze back to the puzzle, watching the group's attempts to apprehend the key. The creature skittered away from Dante as he charged towards it, zipping along towards the rest of the group. It seemed to try skittering backwards once it realized its location, but Elli's reflection as she bounced over it pushed it backwards and prevented it from moving. A slight hiss started to come from the creature, and Lucente's eyes narrowed slightly. It seemed...aggressive. Not good at all, but the group was still working. Gaia's lasso swept out over the ice, sliding into place over the creature, which began beating on the walls of the circle of hair in the mirror to no avail. Which left it in a perfect place for their fishy problem child to run in and stick his hand in the water, fingers wrapping around the key before the water forced his hand out with the item. Though the key was in his hand, the creature stayed below, its hissing growing into a growl before it opened its mouth for the first time and bared a set of sharp teeth. Its claws seemed to pound against the mirror several times before the noise reduced to a hissing and it suddenly sped off through the gaps in their reflections. Yes that was....odd, indeed. Something to talk to headquarters later about. For now, the guide clapped her hands once more. "Thank you so much, I really have no idea how the key got there. You have my gratitude for helping me find it." Lucente walked across the water, casually plucking the key from Kalax's hands before moving over to the door. She stuck it in its heavy lock, twisting it and pulling open the large door. "After you all."Leaving the ballroom behind, the group began to ascend up a set of staircases, their messages from the other group starting to come to them as they did. Which meant another one from Jek. Great. After a few minutes of climbing, the group finally reached a well polished set of wooden doors. Lucente pushed them open with both hands, a bright light filling the hallway as they stepped into the new room. The tour group was met by the sight of a large opera house laid out out beneath them, rows upon rows of red velvet lined chairs stretching forward until they reached a massive stage. The group looked at this from one of the top viewing boxes at the back of the theatre, a good 50 feet or so up from the ground. The ceiling above them, though painted magnificently, was chipped away in some places, and upon closer look, displayed more demons and flames than one would expect from a normal theatre ceiling. It was quite the setting, if she said so herself. But she'd seen it all before.
So while they were taking in their new environment, Lucente reached out both her hands, planting them square on Ellie's back before attempting to shove her off of the balcony. Time to get the fun started, wasn't it? Before they could react, Lucente jumped over the balcony herself, landing on the center aisle beneath them with a thud, but apparently unharmed. She glanced back at the group for just a moment. She wasn't actually sure if she'd succeeded in pushing the girl off, since she'd jumped just a moment later. But even if she did fall, there would 'conveniently' be a large pile costumes and sheets at the bottom to break her fall. Suspense was all well and good, but they couldn't have any of the guests seriously dying. But with the quick glance of the situation done, Lucente rose to her feet and began striding towards the stage. As she did so, her outfit began shifting slightly, metal pieces of armor sliding out from underneath her frilly guide uniform to cover her body. By the time she stopped in front of the stage and ascended to it in one great leap, it had covered most of her body, the style matching that of her mask. However, her lower face still remained uncovered, and it was possible to see a slight smirk there. "I hope you've been thinking about what the other group has told you. You're going to need it."Your goal is to defeat Lucente before she beats you. At the moment, you have no time limit on this. You must stay in the vicinity of the theatre, but all areas of it are open to you. It is a typical opera style theatre, with many rows of velvet chairs leading to the stage, a music pit, a wooden stage and a backstage with costumes and set pieces. From here on out, it is optional to send a message to the opposing group. However, the same rules of one sentence and not repeating who you've sent to still apply. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to pm me.
