Appearance: [ DING ]
---Port: Nape of his neck
Personality: A speaker of gilded words and hollow niceties, Eden makes a show of being absolutely pleasant and indomitable. He conceals everything about himself and instead invests in learning all about others by feigning interest. This main is no stranger to blackmail or seizing vulnerabilities to invoke guilt in people he intends on using for his own gain. It comes naturally with his charming demeanor and silver tongue.
Background: His parents immigrated to Novus from another city which was primarily Italian-speaking shortly after being wed, seeing it as a more opportunistic place to settle. They were placed within the Middle Class, and they had a rather content life, even after Eden was born. Growing up, his childhood was more or less peaceful -- but he had troubles connecting with others. Rather, it wasn't that he couldn't make friends, but more that he found himself picking friends on how they could benefit him the most. Eden was aiming for the top from the moment he realized he could move into the Upper Class, and he absolutely succeeded when it came time for his test.
As soon as he was able, he began to work as a fashion consultant for a talent agency, assisting Upper Class entertainers in being dressed in the most stunning looks possible. It was still a rather low rung job for him, and so the moment an agent position opened, he swiped it up before any others had a chance. He was still young, but he had an eye for talent, and it didn't take long for Linnéa to catch his attention. It became a personal mission for him to make her infinitely more famous than the clients of his colleagues.
It was this mission that drove him to suggest a renewed appearance for her when her popularity began to fall. He would not accept failures, and so he worked with her to design something beautiful and new. And it was this mission again that drove him (when a doctor ruled it too risky, too dangerous, illegal; when she refused the black market) to hire a scavenger to kidnap her and force these changes through. It was this mission that ruined and effectively killed Linnéa, turning her into a scavenger.
Perhaps because of this, he felt a bit of guilt. In his own greed, he'd destroyed someone by trying to make them perfect. He hid the girl, now known as Chartreuse, and worked to improve her health. But he wouldn't quit, not yet. Instead, he turned her into something else: a virtual celebrity, an homage to the poor late Linnéa, her last project before her tragic death -- a voice synthesizer with her vocal likeness, Dolphin.
It is more than a bit taxing to keep up the girl's health and hide his own illegal actions, but failure isn't something he will accept.
