Full Name:
Isaakc Newton ; Newt for short
(call him Isaakc if you want your tongue ripped out)
Age & Date of Birth:
19 ; February 12th
Gender:
Male
Class:
Lower Class
Occupation:
Police Academy Officer / Incredible Person-Beater
Affiliation:
Civilian
Genetic Modifications:
- Red Kangaroo: Inherited from his father; dramatically increased strength and denser muscle mass of the legs. Slightly increased strength of the arms.
- Common Vampire Bat: Inherited from his father; increased sensitivity to sound, smell, and vision in the dark.
- Carbon fiber bones: Elbow to wrist, both arms, complete vertebral replacement, pelvis.
The entirety of Newt's spine and pelvis were replaced due to the sheer strain his legs had on the rest of his body, especially his spine and pelvis. Multiple hip dislocations and spine fractures drove doctors to replace them entirely, or else his human bones would shatter under the exercise Newt went through. The bones in his arms were replaced to protect him from excessive damage since Newt most often blocked with his arms.
- Red irises: Inherited from his mother; the colour is purely cosmetic.
- Protruding canines: A byproduct of the vampire bat gene; no additional effects.
Unique Tech:
- Hyper Clicker: A concealed device worn around his neck. It produces a series of rapid clicks when activated, which aids Newt with his echolocation, and has an additional feature in which it emits a high-pitched noise that can stun a person with normal hearing for a moment.
- Chromium leg braces: A pair of braces manufactured specifically for Newt, made to restrain himself from physically exhausting or tearing muscle from bone. Doctors learned early on that, despite his genetically improved legs, the bones often broke under the excessive violence Newt got himself into. In short, his legs last a lot longer than the rest of his body does. After a series of bone fracture resets and physically restrained bed rests, the doctors had to somehow deter Newt from damaging his legs any further, or at least, let them gradually strengthen on their own. And so, the braces were born. They don't improve Newt whatsoever.
Appearance:
If his eyes weren't blood red, Newt would probably look like an inconspicuous individual. He has baby blonde hair tinging dirty towards the roots, cut rather short with the exception of his bangs, which are slightly longer and swept to the side, and his eyebrows and lashes match the dirty blond colour. On his right ear is a cuff earring in the shape of a dragon. Upon closer inspection, sticking out of his lips are the ends of his canine teeth; they grew a bit longer due to the vampire bat gene he inherited. The next thing anybody would notice about Newt, aside from his eyes and teeth, are the shiny chromium braces around his legs, which are to protect his muscles from overworking themselves, in addition to protection from blunt force. The silhouette of Newt's body type is deceiving; while he may look like a rather lanky teenager, his legs are strong enough to break bone with one good kick, and his arms are quick, precise.
Most of the time, Newt's seen with his police uniform on. Otherwise, he just wears whatever is in his closet; though, he still makes sure it looks good.
His NUIP is at the very base of his neck.
Personality:
Newt's the type of person to get violent at the drop of a pin, fists itching for a bit of blood and bone, always looking for a fight. He's never been inclined to make friends, and comes off as standoff-ish and rude, when confronted head-on. When it isn't head-on, violent, or anything that isn't mild, then Newt is somewhat polite and smart. Gotta impress the parents in the afterlife after all. He's very smart-alecky, sarcastic, and cunning to boot; it doesn't matter who you are, if you're asserting your power over him, Newt will respond in kind. He sees everyone as him and them; there are no allies or enemies, no black and white. It makes him hard to work with. Reckless and completely blind to the possible consequences of his own actions, is a good way to describe Newt in a few words-- not entirely accurate, however. Because underneath all that thrumming venom is a sharp and truly devastating individual.
He's not friendly, and he doesn't want relationships at all no matter how minor; it's all ways to be disappointed in the end. Newt is above all that pain and suffering. And that, makes him dangerous to anyone that dares to continually push his buttons. He always wants to be the one on top, superior, at the end of the fight, and he's driven to do almost anything to make that happen. Whether it be pushing his body to its thinnest limits, or playing dirty, Newt will be the one who chokes the life right out of whoever he's got his eyes on. It's a one-on-one fight for survival; that's what Newt sees it as. But, manic as he is, Newt is terribly singular; when he hones in on a person, it's that one person only, in the heat of the moment. He won't touch anyone else. None of the spectators, the civilians, or even the family members of his person.
At least, not during the fight.
Background:
All he can remember before the police is the relative comfort of his old home, his polite and wealthy parents, and of course, the feeling of it all crashing down when they were suddenly, and brutally, murdered. Being born into the middle class has its perks, especially when you're someone like Newt; a trouble-seeking teenager at the time, happy with his home life but simultaneously producing more energy than he knew what to do with-- he took to street fighting with other middle-class kids whenever they as much as looked at him, and that labelled him as dangerous to everyone. He was a real problem child, and yet, his parents only brushed the rumours off, continuing to hold his hand at a polite length through childhood. Newt loved his parents in his own way.
They died in the dining room of their own home, shot, right before Newt turned 16, and because of it, he tested so terribly that he dropped a class level, and hasn't been able to test out of it since. He lost everything he had-- though that didn't really matter because the money didn't matter, and his parents weren't the sentimental type-- and was dropped unceremoniously into an orphanage with nothing to his name. After their funeral, Newt became uncontrollable; every waking moment was spent lashing out, his body would react on the offense automatically, which resulted in more than a few almost-fatal injuries both to himself and to others. It reached a point where the orphanage had to consult with the government, and they said this: enroll him in police academy.
It worked, to a point. They beat him into submission, sating the boundless energy that he had and disciplining him into a more manageable, albeit vicious, boy, while also sharpening his physical abilities to a deadly point. Early on, they realized his explosive and self-destructive behaviour, and questioned his work in the force-- but his hand-to-hand combat was devastating and such an asset; and so they kept him. After a complete blur of bloody fights, more broken bones, and disciplining-- Newt is now here, in his fourth year of police service. When Newt turned 18, he moved into a small, neat apartment near the threshold of the upper and middle class areas, so that he would be closer to the academy (and to get away from that orphanage for good).
