Standing at 195cm, effirie is thin and delicately built. Their tendency to dress in flowing, loose clothing and opaque fabrics lends to the appearance that they are somewhat ghost-like or otherworldly. Their hair, a dark black gradient to a pale seafoam, is often worn in some elaborate style or with expensive accessories - however, when let down it reaches down to their hips. Dark skin, soft and faintly freckled, boasts a collection of ivory tattoos of their own design. Often, effi will adorn themselves with fine jewelry - and are most commonly seen wearing unsubtle, silver earrings. They like to make a bit of noise as they move - nothing loud, but rather a subtle jingle of their decorations announcing their presence. effi never wears any sort of pants if they can get away with it, though occasionally leggings will be worn with a longer shirt or dress or skirt. Generally, most of their body is covered by clothes, though this is more preference than modesty. 

Personality: seemingly quiet and distant and perhaps a bit cold, effirie is anything but. They have a preference for listening first, taking in everything someone says and does and will often model their responses based on this. Very little about what they show on the surface is legitimate - a coping mechanism picked up early in order to mesh well with the other children at school. They have a keen, sharp sense of humor, favoring irony and sly jokes that may not be obvious at first. Their sense of morality is very very strong - and when cornered, despite their general methods of doing things in hidden and round about ways, they will fight for it with absolutely no mercy shown. 

Background: something something incredibly talented cryptologist, works to spread information to vigilante groups and between groups etc right under the governments nose via their art. offered a position with the government but declined as "they only wished to pursue the arts" and "all that math gives them a headache, really". 
Born from scavenger parents and placed into a family in the slums when they were 10 years old, effi picked up on certain tasks - especially those involving pattern recognition and visual cues- incredibly quickly. They hated school, though, hated everything to do with the government and missed their parents incredibly. However, they weren't stupid and learned that any rule breaking must be done within the apparent boundaries of the system or they would get nowhere.
they are always hoping to find their parents, though they aren't sure what they would do when they find them.
being from the slums, they were exposed to confrontations involving vigilantes and the moment they were able to find a contact with the group, they found ways to help.
effi does not take an actively visible role in participating with vigilantes - all contact made
with them is through hidden messages, secret codes - but they send so much information back and forth and spread word as quickly and efficiently as they can, making them heavily involved anyway. 
Poften, they try to look for ways to mark safe houses so that the government cannot find them but the vigilantes - and more importantly, scavengers- can. They try to send as much money to groups who aide scavengers as they can without bringin attention to themselves. 

Professionally, effi does work for businesses in the middle and upper class, primarily focusing on the aesthetics and decorations but occasionally doing work on the signage as well. Hidden messages / codes / etc are hidden in the artwork, either hidden through subtle patterns in texture/design that can be recognized and taught to others or through something more complex that would require the use of something computerized to work out. 

Aside from this, of course, they work on personal projects and have built a name for themselves. Their personal artwork is often slightly surreal, generally based on creatures or places that used to be  before the world became uninhabitable. They thoroughly enjoy trips to salvage zones and are drawn to any media or information about what the world was like before it was destroyed.
