Personality: On the outside, Yuki gives off a kind of cold and reserved vibe. He usually doesn't pay people much attention unless they interest him in some way. Once you actually get close enough to him to talk to him, though, you might find yourself bombarded with rude or sarcastic comments about whatever it is you decided to approach him about; he is kind of a jerk like that. Then again, no one ever said he was nice.
However, behind that sharp tongue is a deeply insecure person; he has incredibly low self-esteem. In the past he'd been bullied quite often and quite severely, leaving him with a light case of PTSD. Touching him or insulting him when his guard his down can cause him to freeze up and become unresponsive.
Honestly though, all that aside he's just an idiot that has a strong love for technology and various...other things. He's not really mean without a purpose; it's just his way of protecting himself from getting hurt.
Background: Yuki's always had a love and knack for tinkering with and building stuff. He'd take things apart to find out how it's put together just to put it together again later. Sometimes he'd even make something entirely new and different. He'd always been curious in that way. He hadn't really meant to short his chip out; at least, that's what he told any who'd ask.
He couldn't really say he believed much in the Novus' system. Something about always being monitored, or something, just rubbed him all the wrong ways. He only really wanted to see if he could find just how the NUIP worked exactly and if there was maybe anything he could do to be less...watched. All that tinkering didn't really do him any good, though, and he ended up shorting his chip out. With his chip shorted out, he didn't really have much of a choice other than to leave his home in the Middle Class and try and make a living for himself in the Slums; occasionally wandering into the Lower Class.
Yeah, no matter which way you try to say it how he ended up this way just sounds stupid, and he'd agree with you.[/ul]
