House jobs weren’t something Parker took part in often. Too messy, too many chances for people to get caught up in the crossfire. Didn’t really stop him when it was some weird Robin Hood-esque adventure. Though, in this case, he was Robin Hood and the poor. Didn’t that just work out in such a lovely way? He certainly thought so.
A slow exhale pushed past his lips. Fog swirled in front of him from the crisp night air. So all he had to do was get in, get out, and enjoy the experimental weapon left in there – Right? Easy enough. While one hand moved to activate the night vision on his visor, the other pulled his mask up, leaving nothing uncovered on his body save for small slivers of skin under the visor. If his source was correct ( and this one he wasn’t too sure on, seeing as Marco couldn’t always be trusted with information. If it was wrong, the dentist would have a new patient tomorrow ), then that thing could cause massive harm to anyone caught in its range.
And that wasn’t something Park would allow to stay on the streets.
Once he was certain his hood was secured, he slid into action. With how late it was, the streets were empty, so all he had to do was casually stroll towards an alleyway, making certain he was alert the entire time. He didn’t hear anyone just yet, and from what he had checked out earlier in the day, there shouldn’t have been anyone inside the house. Good.
After three mental beats, he slipped closer to the house and mentally mapped his way up and through the windows. That new lock pick set would get to be tested for the first time in the field, and he had to admit – It was exciting.

Heather was by no means a house thief. Honestly, she didn't really consider herself to be a thief at all. It wasn't like she always enjoyed stealing things(even though she most certainly did), but the law had to be broken every now and then for science. She just drew the line at breaking and entering people's houses.
Except for today. She could make one exception to this rule.
Moira Blue.
Heather's one rival in business. Rival was an odd perspective to an outsider though, considering this girl was nothing but polite and overly cheerful with Heather. Yet the gearhead absolutely detested her. Her perkiness was just an act clearly. She was so simple too, being content with looking in a mirror and talking to herself cheerfully. Yup, some would say her loathing of Moira Blue was a bit extreme, but what did people truly know?
Besides, Heather had reason to believe that Moira Blue had ripped off one of her designs. Which was exactly why she was going through the process of breaking into the home to find the proof she needed. By the time a certain Robin Hood-esque man got there, she was already opening the window into the living room. Of course she shut it behind her, not bothering to lock it behind her. The room was dark, with the occupant of the house surely asleep. Heather knew her way around, as Moira Blue had DARED to invite her over for dinner before, ugh. All she needed to do was get into Moira's basement, she was certain that's where she kept things like blueprints, parts(that she totally wouldn't mind helping herself to), and other tech mumbo jumbo.
Quietly, Heather began to tip-toe towards the kitchen, holding her inactive Stunner closely like it was a security blanket. She stopped in her tracks upon entering though, looking around to poke her head into the fridge and grab herself a yogurt.
You couldn't go sneaking around when you were hungry, right?

Unlocked. Strange.
Parker frowned under his mask, eyes narrowing while he stared at the window. He didn’t really need to pick the lock, seeing as it was already undone. Who left their window open? It had him on edge. He hated being on edge during a heist. But he couldn’t just leave, not with what happened to be at stake.
The window slid open without much effort, and in he went while shutting it once he had a solid footing inside. Not a sound was made from how gently he slid it back into place, and once that was done he crouched down to help conceal himself in the shadows of the room. It was late, and all he had to do was work his way downstairs to get –
A light. Park froze. It was coming from the kitchen, something clear enough from the small sound of a refrigerator opening. That shouldn’t have happened, but things started to click together. Unlocked window, someone in the kitchen. There was another thief. God damn it, hadn’t that already happened enough? First the Rookie, and now this.
Without so much as a breath, he make his way over to the kitchen to see who, or what, was in there. If he could catch them by surprise and knock them out, it would make his life easier. He kept out of sight, peeking out enough to see someone of short stature getting…
Was that a yogurt?
Who robbed someone of their yogurt?

The yogurt was... okay. It was Moira Blue's yogurt, so Heather didn't expect too much out of it as she pocketed her Stunner briefly. She tore the cover off, pulling open a drawer and grabbing a spoon. Of course her actual fleshbag hand was covered by a glove, to keep herself from leaving any sort of finger prints. She'd have to make sure to wash the spoon too and bring the trash with her, as to avoid leaving any traces of her saliva too... Actually, she'd bring the spoon with her anyways. Moira Blue deserved to have one less spoon clearly. Besides Moira Blue probably was too stupid and not nearly as smart as her to know to check every nook and cranny, but for the sake of it, Heather just wanted to be safe and take her stuff with her.
And she enjoyed that yogurt, leaning against the wall and taking spoonful after spoonful. Oh yes, she looked like she was in pure bliss. Turning away from where her unknown onlooker, the gearhead began to head to the door that lead down into the basement, enjoying her yogurt. The steps underneath her creaked, but with Moira Blue sleeping upstairs, she felt safe enough to not be so darn cautious.
"Mmmm, so deli-sh for something that would be in Moira Blue's fridge," Heather said, reaching the final step, licking at her spoon like it was a salt lick for a cow.

There was absolutely no reason Parker could fathom why a thief would stop and enjoy a snack. His eyes followed her as she opened the item, taking a spoon ( at least she wasn't being loud as all hell ), and started to enjoy the food while making her way towards the basement door.
Parker followed, making sure to keep silent while he watched her and kept his eyes peeled for any escape routes he could find.
And then she spoke. And clearly knew the person who's house they were in. Ally, or foe? He wasn't quite sure. His head turned towards the window to make certain his escape would be easy just in case anything went south. He didn't want to hurt the kid, but he also didn't want to get caught by the person that owned the house. A slippery slope. Better to jump into the unknown instead of beating around the bush.
Really though, who just talked to themselves like that?
He waited for a moment for her to clear the landing and move deeper into the room before leaping down over the steps and landing with a soft noise that hopefully didn't call too much attention to himself. If they were lucky, they wouldn't even have to meet. Why did he have a feeling he'd have to silence her at some point, though?

The gearhead was nearly half way done with 'her' yogurt when she slipped off her glasses. In replacement, she put her goggles on as the girl calmly strolled around. There were lots of machinery in here, much like her own work place. Unfinished projects that Heather even wonder would ever reach completion. As much as she hated... her, there was nothing Heather couldn't stand then one's hard work going to waste, especially when it involved her line of work. But staving off those sympathetic thoughts, she took another dip of her yogurt and turned, heading right behind one of Moira Blue's projects that let Parker stay out of her sight.
She pursed her lips, letting out an audible 'hmmm' and tapping her foot. That was another dip for her. How dare Moira Blue make this so difficult. Heather at least thought that she would have been stupid enough to keep her ripped off blueprints in the open. But something caught her eyes and sent her practically skipping. Naturally it was Moira Blue's own workbench, drawers, tool boxes, shelves, etc. It had to be around here!... Looking down though, she could only pray that it wasn't in the safe that was underneath the table. No doubt it'd have some sort of retinal scanner or finger print or even voice activated. Ripped off blue prints or not, there was noooo way Heather was going to scoop out an eye or cut a thumb off or worse. Have Moira Blue talk to her.
This was a step though, she just needed to get a good look at it and figure out a plan from there. There was always something. Simply using a recording of the rival gearhead's voice or lift fingerprints could be done. Retinal would be... next to impossible and would include a more time-consuming plan than the former options.
Her goggles switched to heat seeking mode, looking back and up to see the very faint outline of Moira Blue who rested two floors above them. There was also someone else's heat signature that she spotted before looking back to the safe and-
WAIT WHAT?!
Heather stood up right, beads of sweat already forming. Slowly and cautiously she poked her head around the generator she had been behind, spotting the man. With her spoon rested in the yogurt, her stunner came out, flickering on with blue sparks flying off of it and a loud buzz could be heard from it.
With her announcing that she was aware of his presence, Heather pointed the stunner at Parker.
"Intruder! You've been busted! Shame on you for breaking into someone's home!"

For someone that happened to be breaking and entering, the girl was pretty damn calm. All he could guess was that her doing something like this didn't exactly sit high on her common activities list. Her being in his way, though, that bit could pose a problem. Not that he wanted to deal with it if he could help it.
Or so he tought - but soon enough they were moving towards him.
Parker stayed still once the weapon was pointed at him, eyes narrowing behind his visor. While she declared her presence, he had been looking for things around her to use. Break left, grab the wrist, disarm and move. No need to kill her. Before she could even finish her words, he was off - ducking low in-case she decided to take a swing at him. His hand moved towards her wrist and grabbed hold of it, quickly twisting just enough to make her drop the thing and put her arm behind her back. His other hand flew to her mouth to shut her the hell up."You're an intruder too, or did you forget that?" His voice was barely above a whisper next to her ear, the fabric of his mask covering any sort of breath that might have hit the side of her head. "I really don't want to hurt you, so I'll let you go if you stop shouting loud enough for the damned Secret Police to hear. Tell me what you're here for and we can help each other out. How does that sound?"Damn it all, why did he have to keep running into people. All he wanted to do was steal the shit he needed. Was that really so difficult to do? Apparently it was. Fuck. permission from kady to disarm and silence the babe -v-

There were several ways to piss off Heather, most of them easily accomplished by just being alive around her. But one of those primary berserk buttons was being interrupted and silenced. The intruder managed to succeed in doing both and she felt the anger flare in her chest, glaring towards him out the corner of her eye. Mean no harm her buttocks, he essentially insulted her and he would have to pay dearly.
Very, very, very dearly.
In response to his question, Heather chose her reply carefully. It was really the only appropriate reply she could make, really. The reply was a hypothesis, something that the gearhead simply had to test out. Just exactly what would it take for the man to let go of her? With the intruder's squick factor being the dependent variable and her applying her tongue as the independent variable. Turning her head and grappling his arm, she managed to get her mouth past his gloves and give one good long lick.
Her hypothesis was proven correct! Ten points for her! The moment the man's grip loosened was the moment Heather wretched herself free, scrambling to pick up her stunner device and turn towards him. Fortunately for him(or her, most likely), she was not poised to lash out, simply resting one hand on her hip and scoffing.
"Uhm, excuse? I'm not an intruder, I'm a scientist. Here to find the specs that Moira Blue definitely stole from me, She said, before pointing at him in an accusing manner. "The real question is, why are you here? Trying to steal from a sub-par inventor instead of the more talented and qualified one that's standing right in front of you? You have no sense of taste, do you?"

Parker could practically feel the sigh bubbling under his breath when the girl didn’t reply. What was she, like, 16 years old? Probably had only recently been ranked and forced into odd jobs for money. He saw it happen a lot to lower class kids. Made him sick. Though, from how she had seemed to go quiet, he raised a brow at her.
“What are you–“ His face contorted at the slimy feeling of her tongue running over his arm. A disgusted noise left the thief as he pulled his arm back, quickly rubbing the saliva on his pants. Damned girl, now he had her DNA if he needed it. Not to mention from that action alone he figured out she was hardly a threat, at least not in the normal sense. And that pose.
A look of disbelief his behind Parker’s mask, his eyes meetings he’s while he leaned over after wiping his arm off. He stood up to full height, glaring down at the shorty while she prattled on about being a scientist and… What.
“You’re angry because I’m not stealing from you.” His voice was monotone, stare deadpan. Was she missing a screw?! The sigh finally left him while he held his forehead. This one was going to be a headache. First a rookie, now a kid. He needed a drink.
“I’m here for a weapon. That simple. I don’t know if they built it, or are just housing it – But that thing can’t be let out on the streets, so I’m here to stop it.” A noble goal, really. He’d been told he had a ‘hero complex’ before, though Parker couldn’t see it. Ah, but the girl could be useful. And he really didn’t feel like hurting her.
“How about we help each other out? I help you find the blueprints, and you help me find the weapon case. Much better than fighting, wouldn’t you say?”

"Uhm, yeah. For someone who prides herself in her work and has... Moira Blue as a competitor, it's a bit insulting. Duh. Why don't you just give me the finger and rub it in my face?" Heather asked haughtily as she folded her arms. She calmed down for the time being, clearly not concerned with this stranger's intrusion into her competitor's home. If anything, she seemed interested in what he had to say, actually going quiet in deep thought.
Putting her cold metal hand to her chin, she paused before choosing her words carefully, "A weapon... As much as I hate her, I don't think she would ever make one. But, then again, it IS Moira Blue." From how Heather spoke, it was as if she was talking to herself. Well, no, there wasn't any ifs about it, she was mostly thinking out loud, deciding if this intruder's cause was noble. Even if she hardly was a noble person herself.
"Okay, we can help each other out," The gearhead said with a nod. "I was in the process of busting that little safe she's got there. So gimme a sec to see how to open it... And don't stare at my booty either, like a creep."
That was a callback to Volk, not that he needed to know. Without so much as introducing herself, Heather turned, walking back to the safe and crouching by it. Her goggles were back on, giving the safe a good look over. No retical scanner, though it definitely needed Moira's voice to at least authorize Heather to enter some sort of security pin. She glanced over her shoulder if only to make sure that the stranger wasn't about to knock her out anytime soon, before she went to resume her work. Creepily enough, Heather was often prepared for breaking and entering and it showed when pulled out a cord from her pocket. Silently she 'plugged' it into her port, the other end connecting to the safe. A voice followed shortly after,
"Hello. Please state your name." Another pause as Heather tracked a recording of a past conversation with her rival. "Checking authentication... Moira Blue identified. Please enter passcode."
A little hatch opened, a series of number dials brandishing itself. She cracked her knuckles, casting a passing glance to Parker.
"So, know what her passcode is or we gonna have to do this the more obnoxious way?"
