What did some people say? 'Oh how the mighty fall'?
Not that this 'might' was something that Eco kept himself busy with though, but this... Admittedly, this wasn't the direction he saw himself going. Finding a stable job was a lot harder for the wolf than he thought it would have been, and he really wasn't the type to just sit around at home and do nothing. Looking for a stable job was tedious, so for the time being he figured he'd just...try to do some odd jobs here and there. He'd be keeping himself busy next to regular job hunting, he'd feel less like a waste of space and he'd be earning some money and not living off of his savings.
Still, carrying heavy boxes from inside this warehouse to a type of loading truck? Not the kind of manual labour he was expecting to find himself doing. What was in these boxes anyway that made them so heavy? It might look a little odd, seeing a person of Eco's stature carrying such heavy things. Might even make one think the boxes weren't that heavy, but they were. Eco was just a lot stronger than he looked.
Stronger than he looked or not though, he just really hoped that someone else would come around and help him out here. This was a job meant for two people; not just him.

The only thing on Eco's mind, other than wondering when the other helper would decide to show up, was on just finishing the job so he could get paid and leave. His arms and back were starting to get sore from all the heavy lifting and he'd rather not end up pulling something before the job was done. It was rather safe to say that, with all that on his mind he wasn't entirely aware of his current surroundings. That is, until his ear twitched upon hearing a very faint breath. With the box still in his arms the male turned around in the direction of the breath and-
"Oh, I see you finally decided to show up," he commented. There might have been a hint of annoyance in his voice, but he masked it well. Could you blame him though? He spent a good deal of his time doing work that was meant for two people- actually more even it just wouldn't surprise him if his 'boss' was a cheapskate. "Careful; they're heavy." He added before turning around and continuing to carry the box to the truck so he could hurry up and move to the next one.

Not a very talkative one, huh? Not that Eco minded; he had just been trying to be some semblance of polite; that one off comment not considered. If the man wanted to work in complete and utter silence, then that was fine with him. He wasn't really here to make friends; he was here to work. The only thing he could be relatively pissed about was home much work he had to do on his own, but oh well. Some people were just lazy, he supposed.
As time passed Eco did finally start to work up a sweat, which wasn't exactly pleasant. He could take off his top, but at the same time he didn't want to. Call him prissy; he felt no need to show off his upper body for the sake of comfort. As the latecomer went to sit down to take a break, Eco refused to do the same. Not to show off or anything like that, but to him he could rest when he was done. It was probably a bad way of thinking, but that was just Eco for you.
However, just as he finished dumping another box in the truck, his ears twitched and he looked up from his spot in the direction the noise came from. He was half tempted to ask the latecomer if he'd heard anything, but something in him refused to want to talk to him. At least to ask such a simple question. Instead he just continued to do his work, walking up to grab another box, but he was alert. Maybe he was overreacting, but he had a bit of a bad feeling brewing his gut.

[/i] the goods." The manager caught sight of the thief disappearing around the side of the truck and his face twisted. "Go! Now!" Good lord, this was so much effort. Kris turned away, rolled his eyes, and took off running after the hooded kid. Seriously, what did he care.[/ul]
