Nera stood there, in the middle of this so-called-street, blending herself in a sea of multi-colored hairs and loud voices. She was just another face in the crowd. She had literally nothing to do for the past days, her "jobs" were starting to get more and more complicated, and the asked price was starting to feel low, so she had been in the wastelands for the past days, looking for every kind of hidden treasure she could find. But for the first time in QUITE a while, she was out of luck.
Nera was lost in though, gritting her teeth and frowning. She could start asking for more money per job... or... or... or... -what's that?
The blue haired quickly lift her head, there was a scent in the air, strong enough to stand out in the market. No. It wasn't strong, it was close. The blue haired turned around and started scanning the area, "where is it...", she knew this scent. Nera's memory never had failed her before. There it was!
It was amazing, outstanding. There, just a few feet away, in a small tenant's table was a limited-edition obsidian-bladed dagger. One of the most rare, precious, and expensive craftsmanship masterpieces in one-handed weapons. Now what's a beauty like that doing in a place like this? probably the guy who owns it has no idea of what he has in his power. Maybe it's time someone releases him from the tremendous responsibility of taking care of a blade like that one.
The pitch-black blade of the knife gave it the perfect combination between deadliness and elegancy. These kind of knifes usually came with a normal brown leather handle, but what made them extra-special was the fact that this things had a fancy gemstone in the handle, and Nera knew gemstones smells really well... and this gemstone, was no ordinary gemstone. Right there, five feet away from her, was a limited-edition, obsidian-bladed dagger: Diamond. And it was going to be hers.
She should have known better, her luck was still in perfect shape. Yeah, she hadn't steal things from market's tenants since she was 17, but you never truly forget these kind of things. Like ridding a bike. A really pretty and expensive bike that could cut your throat in two.
There was only one problem. When Nera finally got there, silently as always, the knife -her knife- was gone.
