Thank you again, Chikaaaaa!! //hugs you
Alrighty! So a quick couple of things! First is actually Redux related! I wanted to demonstrate Crowlin's carbon fiber bones in his profile, because his are actually somewhat hollow to save weight and this allows them to flex quite a lot more so that they can absorb quite a lot of stress and be fine. So below are Crowlin's femurs, one of which has a cutout to show the thickness of the bone's wall~ Second is just a piece that I did that started off when I saw a dA submission that really caught my eye. The character had a really awesome gritty skull-style mask on and I wanted to recreate that. Mine's more smoothed out and newer, but I enjoyed the practice with the lighting as well. JFC GLAZ I'M*SCREEEE* I AM \\ SCREAMING //SO MUCH SOOOO MUCH RIGHT NOW HOOOOOLYFRICKLEFRACK YOU'VE GOTTEN SO GOOD AT THIS TALKING ABOUT YOUR 3D WORK-AND-PROGRESS IN GENERAL
ALL THE RESPECT FOR THAT MASK RIGHT NOW. THAT. LIGHTING. AND. NUANCES. ON THE SURFACE. JUST
*splodes* People with 3D modeling-skills, man, kills me every time. B-but yeah, good show. Good show~!

@everyone: Good lord, thank you so much for all of the kind words! I was really quite proud of how that skull mask came out and it's so nice to see that it was so well received and reviewed! It means a lot! ;w; <333 As for the bones, lol, by the time I finished them, I figured out things I wanted to add and change a bit, but I'm glad you guys enjoyed them~
Moving on! So I'm working with my university's (UBalt) gamelab to develop a historical simulation of the Chesapeake Bay here in MD. My job there is to create a few of the ships that players will get to sail/drive around. So far, I've finished 2 of the 3 that I have planned and put them into the game engine so players can even walk around on them. The third is currently having the hull sculpted. The first of the two is a round-stern bugeye sailboat. This particular one was actually modeled after one of Baltimore's first police boats. I had a lot of fun with it mainly because I really love sailing to the point where I have my own life-vest in the trunk of my car in the event I find myself with an opportunity. For those who might be slightly confused on one of the ship details, the helm is indeed facing the right way. You steer the ship standing next to it. XD Roundstern BugeyeThe second ship that I finished thus far is the WWII commission of the USS Baltimore, the lead ship of the Baltimore-class of heavy cruiser which was built in Quincy, Massachusetts. The Baltimore served in the Pacific fleet until 1946, providing cover and fire support in numerous battles in that theater earning her 9 battle stars, and was the ship that transported President Roosevelt to Pearl Harbor and back when he visited to tour and pay his respects. Post 1946, she was decommissioned and put in reserve at the Bremerton, WA dock. Eventually the Baltimore was recommissioned in 1951, serving in the Atlantic 6th fleet in the Mediterranean. Then redeployed in 1955 back to the Pacific in the 7th fleet where she began pre-inactivation. She was put back in reserve at Bremerton in 1956, struck from the naval roster in 1971, and finally scrapped in 1972. She was armed with 3 triple-barrel 8 inch main guns, 6 dual-barrel 5 inch anti-air guns, 12 quad-barrel 40 mm anti-air guns, 24 single 20mm anti-air cannons, and carried four planes that could be launched from the two catapults on her stern. I don't have a gif made up, but the radar equipment on the top of the masts rotates and the flag waves in the 'wind'. USS Baltimore CA-68

//Punted for title puns @viz and Sock: Thank you so much! ;w; I thought they came out really well and glad it's not just personal bias. XD _________________________________________________________ So the third and final ship I finished a few days ago and now have some renders ready that I can put up. This is the USS Baltimore C-3 which was built in 1890, traveled pretty much around the world (Hong Kong to the Mediterranean), and fought in the Spanish-American War down in the Philippines. It was also present, though inactive and used for storage, at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked. It was ultimately sold, partially scrapped, then scuttled at sea in 1944. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ And then lastly, a personal project to just relax and get a little practice in. What do you mean I have a problem? I have no idea what you're talking about. You'll never stop me //Squareshipping foreverHQ Detail Render
