IsaacHey there Tom! So starting off with his profile, like with Dante I'd like if you could include some base information about Madam Roux ( like what class she is ) that would be appreciated. Also, please make sure that the background in his skeleton is the same as the one in his coded profile. While I understand the skeleton is a simplified version of it, it's important for us to check over the details as well. Please include the port location somewhere in the coded version as well, unless I missed it somehow. And onto the profile tech. Visor - For the infrared vision, you mentioned in rps that it can track heat signatures and such. Please include this in your profile description of it as well.
- Unfortunately, we can't allow the visor to track the firing line of bullets. That would require processing far too fast for the tech to handle and the data would most likely change too fast anyways for it to be at all reliable.
- For the neural implant part, please clarify in your profile that it can tell him the number of NUIPs, but not their location or who actually has one. That way a Scavenger can't be instantly identified if they're in a group of people.
- Please specify a time limit and range for all functions of the visor, and clarify that its sensors could be affected by dampeners.
Shield - Please up the recharge time on this to two minutes.
Gauntlet - The smoke will need time to spread, so the cover can't be created in under a second unfortunately. Please give a general time limit and range for this.
- Just clarify that he will only be able to actively deflect bullets with the help of Physical magic due to their speed.
And moving onto the rps. So your writing length is fine, but the tech you currently have him using is a little overpowered. For his hacking device, he is going to need to have a physical connection to objects in order to hack them, and there needs to be a time delay for how long it takes the hack to work. So for the security cameras/objects like Lyante's spider/comm systems, he would need to actually plug into them in order to be able to hack them. And with area surroundings, unless he connected to their main server room or something similar, he would have to hack into the lights/fire controls/etc separately. Same with the window he hacked in the rp with Hexie; he would have to connect to the window before he could hack it. Also, the amount of time he has inside each system would be limited before he has to rehack. Because all of this tech was used heavily in your rps, once we come to an agreement on the edits we'd like to ask you to make 5 more posts and come back to eval. You can post edits/confirmation here and once we've approved those we'll tell you what post number you should be at when you come back for eval. Thank you very much!

I made the following changes: - I made Isaac's skeleton background the same as his more detailed background
- I added four bullet points about Madam Roux in the skeleton
- I made all of the changes to his tech
With the heat signature thing for the visor, that was because I didn't know the different between infrared and thermal imaging. Soooooo anytime he sees a person's heat signature, he's using the thermal, which drains his battery very quickly. The infrared, used for security beams, doesn't drain nearly as quickly.
I made sure to describe that Isaac can't tell where a NUIP is or who has one, just that he knows they're nearby.
As for his handheld, I'm sorry that it was overpowered. I never even played Watch Dogs but I guess I got a little carried away with it. However, I would like to debate some of these suggestions. I don't see how it's even physically possible for Isaac to be plugged into every device, especially cameras. How could he plug into a camera without being spotted on said camera? And it just feels like too big of a nerf for him to have to be physically connected to everything. Could we instead impose a 5 meter short range limit? He has to be within five meters in order to hack something? I will, of course, calm down with how fast he hacks things and how often.
EDIT: Perhaps what would help me best is a detailed description of how hacking works. If my ideas simply don't work, I'd like to know what you guys want for hacking in re:DUX so that I can mold Isaac accordingly. Right now, I think I made his handheld so powerful because Novus has such insane levels of monitoring and security, so I kept trying to think of ways to actually be stealthy in a world like this.

IsaacAlrighty so first tech things. Visor - Thermal and infrared are actually the same thing! So you can combine those into one.
- Rather than a time limit or battery for any of them, we've thought on it and we'd like it to just be so that Isaac can only use one of the filters at a time. So the thermal/infrared would be one filter, the NUIP search would be one, and the last would show the camera's area of view. We'd like to request that in order to keep with the one at a time limitation, he only be able to use one filter per post.
Handheld So we discussed this, and while there are some places where he can hack without connection ( which we will specify ), he can't do this everywhere. Because not everything is connected wirelessly and most security places would run on a closed circuit and not through wifi or anything, he would have no access point through which to hack. This is especially true because he is not actually doing the hacking himself and is just running a preset program on his device. So what we came up with is. - In lower class and slums areas, he can hack devices like security systems as long as he is within 5 meters of them. ( Although this doesn't effect higher class tech that just happens to be in the slums, like if Lyante brought her spider there ). If he goes out of the 5 meter range, then the hacking stops.
- In Middle and Upper class areas, he must connect physically to the devices. Security is much tougher in these areas, and since he is a thief he will have to do some actual sneaking if he wants to connect here. He can see the range of camera's views with his visor, so he would have to work carefully to find a blind spot where he can plug in. However, we will let him have 3 darts that he can shoot into devices that can hack them. They will have the same 5 meter range as his device has in the lower class and slums. But because they are limited, he will have to choose how he uses them in each rp carefully.
It's hard to give specifics of how hacking works just because of how varied the tech and world of Novus is at the moment. Basically the issue here was, while Isaac can be an accomplished thief, he still has to face difficulties in his hacking and thievery. Hacking and tech can assist him in his job, but it can't do all the work for him essentially. Next onto the Madame Roux info So people from the Upper Class are usually monitored pretty heavily, so what is letting her run this whole empire of illegal manners without any Secret Police looking into her? It is possible she could have a deal with them in a manner similar to how Samuel does, but then she would also have to report frequently to them about her activities. Otherwise, how is she escaping suspicion and having the Secret Police knocking at her door?

I made the following changes: - I altered the visor to match your desires, making it clear that the visor has three filters that Isaac can only switch between once per post, and I have detailed those filters and how they work
- I added Isaac's Handheld to his tech list, writing it hopefully in the way you described
- I explained that Madam Roux has a deal with the SP and the government in a similar way to Samuel (i.e. her drugs keep the people suppressed). I also mentioned that Isaac is her one and only thief, and she keeps him a secret from the government
- I went back and edited posts in "A Clash of Thieves," "An Unwanted Guest," and "Hacker vs Hacker" to employ the newly revised functions of the visor and the handheld. With these posts, I have tried to mold Isaac as less of a hacker and more of an acrobat. While he does understand a little bit of code through the things he's learned with Madam Roux, he's not a genius. He relies mostly on preprogrammed hacks to accomplish basic functions. When he needs to hack something manually, he can only do minor things. He can only shut down Lyante's spider and not take control of it, and he can only release valves on machines and not actually cause explosions or anything that would have insane levels of security (not that he made an explosion the first time, anyway :'D) If Isaac tries to do anything more complicated than that, it may take two posts and he may fail completely
I will, of course, still do the additional 5 posts before asking to be evaluated again.

For Madam Roux, I would like it if you said that she has to check in with The Secret Police about her business regularly, rather than that they just turn a blind eye. Oh, hey, I'm not ready for re-eval yet, but I wanted to let you know that I added a detail to Isaac's handheld.
I forgot to mention that it can trick his NUIP's GPS to think he's at home when he's really not (for up to two hours). I'm sorry if that's pushing it, but it's kind of a necessary safety measure for a thief, no? :'D And this, of course, would be useless against actual legit security checkpoints, and he'd be in serious trouble if he was caught at a checkpoint with a hacked GPS.

IsaacAlright this all looks good to go! Just a note though, we've said this in other places, but nationalities aren't something that's really known anymore. So things wouldn't be 'Chinese' or 'Japanese' or from any other nationality. They'd probably be named after the other cities. WHICH UNFORTUNATELY WE DON'T HAVE YET S W E A T S. But hopefully we'll have substitutes for those soon. There's nothing you need to edit, just a note for the future. Congrats on your colored name and thanks for being so cooperative o7
