MemesYes, people of every class can join the police academy! However, it is much harder for members originally from lower class or the slums to be accepted and to climb ranks. But it is possible for members of every class, yes.

Ellie: Yes that is a thing that can happen! And as you said, it would need to be Upper Class, but possible Middle as well o7 Levenin: The EMP Pulse is a thing, but someone couldn't just 'blue screen' randomly without having some sort of disabling weapon used against them. And it's not such much a blue screen as it would be paralysis. And is generally more Common and Secret tech !

If a character who can hack has a cell phone that they use to do their hacking (ala Watch Dogs), does the cell phone need to be listed as Unique Tech in their profile, or is hacking equipment (regardless of whether it's a phone or not) so standard/implied that it doesn't need to be listed?

I'm not sure if this is a silly question or not but--
I know it's been said any class can join the police academy, but, can a member from any class end up as a member of the Secret Police? o:
Additionally, I'm pretty sure to the answer to this is yes but! A member of the Secret Police can have a day job besides working in the normal police force, yes? /o/

IsaacIt depends on what kind of hacking you would want the phone to do! We have some basic hacking functions such as dampening and id replacers listed in the tech page, so if it falls under that you don't need to list it. However, if it has additional function, it's better safe than sorry to list it. Alternatively, if you would like to write in the suggestion box what you think some basic hacking functions for devices could be, we may be able to add it to the tech page before you reach eval in which case it wouldn't need to be included under Unique Tech. TeddyYes, any class can end up in Secret Police. However, for someone from Lower or Slums to end up there, they must be exemplary, as they system is weighted against them from the beginning. And Secret Police can have other day jobs yes, but it is important to recognize that these are almost always covers and are subject to change at any time.
