She reallllllly wanted to fight that panther. I mean just looking at how relaxed it was without a care in the world, just filled her with the determination that she could fight the heck out of that cat. But feminine spider dude asked her not to and the wolfish boy also voiced the same and so being the team player that Athena was she decided not to fight the cat. But that won't stop her from trying to come back later after the tour is over and try to wrestle it.
So instead she opted to sing to the beast which could lead to several different possibilities. One, the cat is a music lover and they become fast friendly rivals and Athena could lead it back to the cage. Second, it enrages the beast like a bull seeing red and can have the beast chase one of them into the cage. Or the third option which is....nothing happening.
"Well might as wellllllll....spider boy what in the hella is you doin?" Athena was about to step forward to start her concert but saw that the spider kid took off his hat and then started to approach the cat. Athena pondered over this and thought him to be very brave and also somewhat stupid to try to do something without backup so in her effort to assist she picked up his hat and placed if on her head before clearing her throat.
"Alright tall, blonde and handsome," Athena said as she hipped bumped the armored gentleman with a grin. "If something goes down you back up the kid a'ight?" Before he could respond Athena stepped forward and circled in the opposite direction of the owner of the hat as she started to sing a slow haunting song as she tried to distract the cat from the person sneak its way. Hopefully the cat is a blues listener if not there was always some screamo.
Actions: She is not gonna fight the panther (although she wants to) Wants to befriend and be rivals with the panther for later fights Flirts with the tall guy again Starts singing blues music to help with distractions Will switch to screamo if that doesnt work

Uriel was admittedly a little flustered as he made his way across to the other side of the room. He was rather bashful, so women flirting with him usually just left him at a loss, either concerned or wondering why they set their sights on him. At least he had a little something else to focus on however, and he breathed a little easier as he saw that the panther showed little interest in the group or what they were doing. Soon enough, the officer made it to the other side of the cavern and pulled the basket of bells and ribbons from the wall, turning and making his way back to the others with a slightly faster pace in his step. Unfortunately it seemed as though the others were eager to get things moving before he'd gotten back to them, watching as one of the canids started circling around to the other side to surround the cat while the young man with the pierced ear set down his hat and started sneaking towards the beast. Uriel wasn't an anthropologist, but he was fairly certain that sneaking up on a big cat and making it feel surrounded with no way out was probably not in their best interest. There was little he could do about it at this point though and Uriel focused on quickly rejoining Jek, Athena, and Eco. He set the basket of items down next to their tour guide and looked on, trying to get a quick gauge of the situation. He felt a jostle on his side and looked to see the spliced young woman had given him a playful hip bump, giving him a compliment and a big smile before asking him to keep en eye on the kid trying to sneak towards the panther. Uriel could feel his face get a little warmer to join his look confusion tinted with a slight smile. Once again he was a bit distracted by the flirtatious moment, more or less unknown territory to him, but there were other priorities to focus on. "Sure, but let's avoid anything violent on the cat if possible."Remembering Jek mentioning that the panther would need a collar, Uriel took a guess and grabbed one of the ribbons with the intention of tying it around the creatures neck if the chance arose. He then started approaching the panther as well and nearly the same track as Levenin, but slightly to the side so that he could jump in and push the boy out of the way if necessary. Hopefully the young woman's singing will catch its appreciation and Uriel could simply tie the ribbon loosely onto the panther's neck as it walked. As she started, Uriel agreed. She certainly did know how to sing. -Got back to the others and set the basket down -Gets a bit flustered. What is flirting? -A little concerned about surrounding a big cat and approaching it like they are. -Grabs a ribbon to tie around the panther's neck and moves to support Lev. -Hopes Athena's singing works.

Messages from the other group will be received in one round. No messages will be sent out this turn. So far, Jek really liked his group. They were an interesting and excited bunch that was willing to try new things. He had hopes for them by the end of the event. And then he could boast how great his people had been and how the zoo was clearly superior! Ha! Take that Lucente, you would owe him dinner for sure. Oh, speaking of his lovely little lady... He had to reply. Was that subtle enough? Jek wasn't a subtle person in the least. He liked Lucente, and she knew it. He never missed a chance to flirt with her, especially when she grumbled back at him. It was just such a cute thing to see. He wonder briefly how her group was going, and what she would think of his group approaching a giant cat to tie a ribbon around it somewhere. Honestly, he thought it was funny to watch. Especially Athena. Wrestling the panther? He liked her.
Meanwhile, while the group approached the panther -- The singing caught its attention, causing ears to twitch and its head to rise and look at Athena directly. Its head tilted slightly, only to rise and stretch while giving a yawn. The sound had fully drawn its attention, and the panther began to move towards Athena in a slow and steady fashion. Its steps looked unnatural for a moment - as if its joints had locked up - though it quickly moved back into a normal stride.
A low growl began in the back of its throat while it moved closer to Athena, its pupils growing in size as it crouched and prepared to pounce on her if she so much as moved closer. Its tail flicked from side to side, edging forward while staring her down.
The panther sprang forward, charging Athena at full speed - only to cut to the side and attempt to tackle Levenin into the ground with teeth and claws bared. You have one more rounds to complete this challenge! Reminder that your group received no messages this turn and can't send any out until they complete the challenge. If you have any questions, please send a PM to Kendra. Levenin perked up around the same time the panther did. The singing was supposed to keep it lulled into sleep, but its attention being drawn to Athena’s instead also worked with his plan. He turned to give her a thumbs up before focusing back on the beast. It was probably wise to not turn one’s back on a meat-eating, seasoned hunter. The sweating began when the animal stood and stretched, prompting him to stop dead in his tracks. Oh yes, because making himself a stationary target would totally work in his favor if the thing decided that it wanted an exotic dinner tonight. The logic worked about as well as in the movies.
Lev remained absolutely still, teeth clenched, as the panther found more interest in the serenading woman than it did him. Perfect. All she had to do was keep it up and hopefully the others wouldn’t scare the cat away. That just left him to sneak in from behind and sedate it with a well-placed bite. Now where would be the best spot for that? The neck, where its powerful muscles would lock up first before spreading? Or would it be safer to go from the haunches to limit its movement?
Not that he had time to think much on it when it suddenly decided to charge. Had they spooked it somehow? Or maybe it read his mind and wasn’t keen on being turned into a useless puddle of limbs and fur as it dove for Levenin. Eyes flashing on in instinct, he took a defensive stance. There was no time to dodge, but the only other option was to take it head on— a suicidal move, as there was no way Lev could contend with a creature that was twice his size.
Lev sidestepped as much as possible to avoid a direct chomp to his body. He fell to the ground hard as the beast tackled him with a face full of black, thick fur. This was as good a time as any to hide what he was about to do. The taste was anything but satisfying as his teeth sunk themselves into its skin just enough for him to catch a hint of blood. Good.
However, he didn’t get to hang on for very long as the two of them struggled against one another in a fight for dominance. What if the venom that'd made it in wasn't enough to immobilize it?
Someone help please please please…Actions taken: -- Asserted dominance by actually biting the panther -- Is now under said panther

Uriel was pleased to see that the panther seemed a bit more docile than they had expected it to be. It rose up stretched and started making its way towards Athena, but something about it still felt off as though it's body was trying to force movements to work. The officer started to wonder if the beast could have been animatronic or a robot of some kind, but either way it seemed to respond to the young woman's singing. As the moment's passed, Uriel stepped across to position himself a little closer to between Levenin and Athena in case the panther started to attack. The moments beforehand seemed to telegraph exactly that and it made the officer nervous and tense. The low growl from the beast made Uriel's legs lock like coiled springs, ready to propel the blonde towards the cat in an attempt to head it off. Not a second later did that become needed as the panther lunged forward towards Athena, preparing to attack. Uriel pushed his foot hard down on the cave floor, the solid ground bearing his weight and force well. Not a second later did the panther change directions and shoot off towards Levenin, demanding the officer plant his other foot into the floor and push off towards the young man. The large cat still had an extra couple of seconds on him with the change in course, and it was soon on top of Lev. He propelled himself as quickly as he could and made the leap, slamming all five hundred pounds of the man into the beast in and attempt to pull it off of the kid. He did his best to get his arms around it, trying to lock it up with an arm under its own and another tight around its neck to restrict the movements of its jaws and at least one claw, but Uriel only had so many limbs to work with. Actions
-Stepped closer between Lev and Athena
-Tried to intercept the panther, but it changed direction towards Lev
-Turned and slammed into the panther to pull it off of Lev, trying to immobilize it as much as possible.

WELP LOOKS LIKE THE PLAN WAS GOING TO HELL.
The singing had caught the cat's attention, yes, but in all the wrong ways. Even though he had expected it, Flynn was a bit surprised when the panther suddenly tackled hat guy down, a bit too stunned to react immediately. Thankfully big guy was there to pick up on his slack, already taking to wrestling the cat off of the small man. While he was sure that someone looking like a flesh wall was more useful at fighting of something a predator, he didn't exactly want him to do all the work.
He looked around for a moment and found the basket next to the tour guide. Maybe... Decision made, he dashed towards it and grabbed one of the ribbons before turning around and towards the panther. With both of big and hat guy busy, someone had to tie the ribbon around the cat and with it being somewhat immobile it seemed like now or never. He kind of wanted to tell bird lady to do the same but he didn't exactly want to leave the other two hanging.
So running up to the cat and the guys, he tried to slip through the struggle and tie the ribbon around it's tail. He didn't exactly have the mass to help out with wrestling it off the guy so he at least hoped he could help with the collar part of the challenge. He just hoped the riddle wasn't picky about where the collar is on the cat.Actions taken: - is a dumb idiot - grabbed a ribbon - tries to tie it around the panthers tail - is no help at all

Apparently the panther wasn't a jazz lover. Welp I should have stuck with trying to wrestle it, Athena thought to herself as the panther lunged towards her before quickly shifting to leap at the spider lad that was behind her. The hat Athena was sporting left her head she was pushed backwards by the force having her completely stunned before realizing she was scratched by the cat. Luckily it wasn't anything to serious, more or less a flesh wound but either way, Athena was injured and now she was mad.
"I TOLD YALL WE SHOULDA WRESTLED DA THIN!" Athena growled as she shook off the impact before charging to assist the blonde man with keeping the cat down. "Why don't we just... toss it in or somethin?!" Athena stated between shifting her hold on the creature. She was able to see that the spiderman was a little bit like a spider and bit the cat. Yo that was kinda metal...Athena thought with the hopes that whatever the bite did could slow the creature down. She was strong but not strong enough to help with a lot of support so she decide to what any random thought having person could do.
She was gonna wrestle the cat.
While the panther was in the hold, Athena tried to hoist itself on its back, clinging to its neck for support. While it was thrashing about, Athena watched for an opening when the black cat would have its head tilted towards her. When she found her mark she brought her head down to give it a hard headbutt before becoming dizzy and rolling off the creature with stars dancing her eyes.
actions taken: Athena was scratched but she will shake it off Climbed onto panther Athena uses headbutt Athena is now confused

From here on out, it is optional to send a message to the opposing group. However, the same rules of one sentence and not repeating who you've sent to still apply.
The bite Levenin delivered was well received, though instead of soft flesh - his teeth would hit a hard surface that could very possibly chip his teeth. The panther hissed in anger, going to swipe at him with a massive paw, though Uriel putting it into a choke hold was enough to hold it back. A frustrated growl left it while it struggled to break free, jaws snapping at anything that might have possibly been close enough ( and unlucky enough ) to be caught between its powerful teeth. But while it thrashed, Flynn successfully tied the ribbon just as Athena went for her hit.
It went limp after the headbutt, body twitching a few times before suddenly breaking free and making a mad dash towards the hole in the wall, the bell on its tail ringing the entire time.
Jek stood there for a moment, blinking at everything that had just unfolded while a hidden wall opened near the crack in the wall. Torches once more lit up down a path - and he took the moment to dart forward before the group could make their way deeper into the temple. The steps were made of smooth stone, and the sound of water tricking deeper down echoed off the stone cave walls. He took the moment to check his message from Lucente since they were coming in from the other group finally.
"Watch your step. We're nearly there." He gave a wide grin and practically skipped ahead, disappearing into the darkness.
As the group moved down below, they would notice the temperature dropping. The sound of rushing water grew louder the deeper they went, and soon enough the corridor opened into a wide open room. The ceiling was missing, and the sight of stars and the bright glowing moon cast an eerie blue glow across the cave floor. Glowing flowers seemed to light a path through the center of the room, growing larger towards a tall waterfall at the back wall. Shallow cut stairs led up towards the center of the waterfall, disappearing behind the water.
Off to the sides, large drops in the floor led down into serene pools of moonlit pools of water, the surface disturbed by the rushing flow of ice cold water. Large crumbling pillars were cast across the cave floor, connecting different sections that had been cut away by the rush of water.
The temperature seemed to be dropping more as time went on, ice crystals forming across the walls and the sounds of cracking ice nearly deafening in the quiet environment. Footsteps echoed across the room, the splashing of water, and a dark figure appearing atop the waterfall. The soft sound of singing drifted from the figure - and soon it was replaced by the ear shattering echo of bird squawking and wings flapping.
"For your final test..." Jek's voice boomed around the room, ice cracking from the volume and a few icicles falling into the pools. "It's somewhat a game of tag. Pretty much... Catch me if you can, and you win." He grinned while his hand rose, a loud whistling leaving him. A dark mass of birds swooped down from the open ceiling and swarming over the group in a flurry of feathers.
"Hopefully the other group helped you out!" Your goal is to catch Jek by any means necessary. You have no time limit on this. All areas of the cavern are open! Most of the floor is similar to that of a stone cave, with soft muddy areas where the flowers grow. Ice is constantly building up and breaking off around the area. Sound is an element that can be used to your advantage, the louder it is - the more things move. As for the birds, they range from a sparrow to an ostrich! So if you want to chase Jek on an ostrich, hell yeah u go.
From here on out, it is optional to send a message to the opposing group. However, the same rules of one sentence and not repeating who you've sent to still apply. Come to think of it, the bite had been more… solid that he expected. Soft, furry, and taut with muscle, yes, but also very hard, as if he’d gone too deep and hit something further under the skin. But if he knew his anatomy correctly (which Lev hoped he would as a doctor), then what was even there that’d be so sturdy?
He scrambled out from underneath as soon as Uriel managed to relieve some of the pressure. There was no use in biting again; the venom was spent for another few hours. Lev couldn’t just let the other man handle him alone, though. Waiting would reveal whether or not his injection worked, but those precious seconds were a luxury. Luckily, the abrasive woman made good on her promise to wrestle it. Literally.
Levenin sat in awe (and a tinge of fear) as she headbutted the beast. He’d definitely have to check that out after this was over, which was sooner than he thought as it fell back into a heap of cat. Poking at his gums, noting the discomfort that’d bloomed from where he’d gnashed down, he approached the rather dazed-looking Athena. ”Uhh, do you mind if I check…?” he said. There was no way a concussion hadn’t been self-inflicted. He gave a quick smile to Flynn. ”G-Good job getting the collar on there. It was an… interesting location.”
He did the same smile for Uriel, who'd saved him from losing his head. It finally felt like their group was really pitching in together for the greater good. Without everyone's contributions, there might've been just a few snacks remaining-- the snacks being their bodies riddled with cute cat bites.
Relieved to see torchlight again after what seemed like ages, Lev repeated his incoming message out loud, ”Echo.” Ironic, as his voice reverberated off the walls.
Perhaps it was the fact he wasn’t quite dry from the earlier dousing but he was getting colder at an alarming rate. Just how far in were they at this point? Not very if they could see the sky above, though the immediate suspicion was a projection on the ceiling. At least this room was much more calming with its soft glowing flowers and running water… until Levenin noticed a sparse frost crawling up the threads of his clothing. What was a beautiful environment now crumbled at every word, and he was afraid to speak.
Echo… Sound made the ice creak and crack even worse, especially as the birds drowned out every thought and voice. ”Hey, you!” Lev cried at Athena, feeling his feet drift apart along with the ground. ”Try singing again! Anything!”
Those previously esoteric clues… Now was the time to really remember them. “Echo” mattered here but what else was there? It was too difficult to recall in the din of the chaos. Lev considered asking someone in the other group for more clues. No way they’d be able to make out his words with the background noise. First thing was first: to escape from this flock.
His eye mod was useless. Picking out one particular shape out of hundreds was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. What they needed to do was spread out but if they did so, one person couldn’t catch Jek alone. Lev ducked behind a pillar to give himself time and space to think. Singing, echoing, no poison… Their arsenal was limited. He peeked around the corner to the waterfall where the figure had been a minute ago, hoping to see them there as a beacon for ideas. Stairs... Should someone see where they went? Sure, he might drown but it might be worth seeing if there was anything hidden in the cascade.Actions taken: — RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING — HIDING HIDING HIDING — contemplates diving behind the waterfall

Uriel was rather focused on his current task, doing his best to restrain the panther as much as possible while the others figured out a way to either pacify it or get rid of it. It seemed as thought his fellow tour participants had done exactly that as the officer felt the large cat go limp in his hold. Uriel looked to the beast for a moment, then around him at the others before his arms loosening up slightly. That was enough however, as the panther snapped back awake and jumped out of the small group of people, quickly running off into the safety of the opening in the cave wall. "Well done, everyone."Uriel took a deep breath, relieved that no one seemed to have been torn open by the cat and that more that they had managed to complete their task. He looked to Levenin, who seemed relatively fine, then to Athena who was in less than ideal shape. He sat up and moved next to her, watching as Lev checked her before offering his large palm as a pillow to keep her dazed head up off of the cave's stone floor. "That sounded like it hurt, so move only if you feel you're ready and we'll help you up."Once the group was set, Uriel watched as Jek gave them a wide grin and ran off ahead of them into the darkness. The officer felt something was off about the situation and it was something that nagged at hi from the beginning, feeling as though their tour guide was doing more than just showing them the obstacles they faced. Rather it seemed as though Jek was actually a part of it or perhaps even behind it, reveling in their struggle from one trial to the next. With Uriel assisting Athena if she needed it, their tour group soon arrived at yet another destination, this time finding the scene to be quite elaborate and noting that the temperature continued to drop to a colder and colder atmosphere. Despite the situation they were in, even Uriel had to admit that the scenery was actually quite impressive. The serenity of it all was soon broken however as their tour guide reappeared before them, this time seeming to be playing a larger part in what was now happening as birds of all shapes and sizes flocked around him. Uriel found himself with a sense 'I told you so' that was aimed particularly at himself for not having thought to have done something beforehand with his intuition, not that there was much to have done anyway. This was it, hmm?Uriel thought back to the writing on the walls and the clues that they had gotten from the other tour. This was the last chance that the information could be used. What goes up, must come down...gravity...Uriel wasn't sure how useful that could be to him. He was a practical person, so subtlety and hidden meanings usually were lost on him. That didn't stop him from trying the practical possibilities though. He stepped forward as Jek sent his feathered swarm at them, his large frame becoming quite a barrier to the smaller birds and the officer not hesitating to forcefully and physically remove larger ones from his path. He approached a large column of stone, a fused stalagmite and stalactite that extended from the cave's floor to its ceiling. He took off his surcoat and wrapped it around the knuckles of his right hand before bracing his right foot back and taking a deep breath. Gravity...must come down. He turned his body in with the punch, his weight adding momentum to the impact against the rock as Uriel intended to send a shockwave up to dislodge as many stalactites as he could and perhaps bring them down on their "opponent", repeating the process a few more times if necessary. Success or failure, Uriel would then turn to give direct chase to Jek. The large officer might not be the fastest person, but he wasn't someone who could be ignored and he could certainly force the tour guide to continue moving. Perhaps into the waiting clutches of the others. Actions: -Helped out Athena -Moved down into the final cave area with the group -Asserted bird dominance -Punched a rock column once to a few times in the hopes of bringing a few stalactites down on Jek to trap or rattle him -Chased after Jek, not especially fast but relentlessly
