The whole city was eerily quiet. For some areas the evening would warrant some sort of serene calm but in the luxury district where Gaia called home, quiet was a sign of doom. The quiet was a lingering sickness that hovered over the weak waiting to strike when their guard was down, and it was taking business away. Granted the holiday festivities came to an end so there were no more celebrations that brought in huge income and new interested persons to the guild. But it wasn't as bad as this.
Rarely Gaia had to travel outside of the luxury district ring for performances but sadly more and more people grew fearful of traveling especially the upper ranks towards the lower levels. Not only that but these particular clients stated no lower class members to be in their homes which left Gaia with no guards for they were all of the lower class. This left the elven dancing by herself on her way back to her shop and home.
"The nerve of those pigs to not even offer to walk me home or place me in a hotel. I will black list them for this." Gaia muttered under her breath as she wrapped herself tighter in the clock she won during the Persephone's Reign festival. She tried to keep as quiet as possible, not to draw attention to herself but the soft jingling of her coin scarf made it difficult to bring attention to one's self.
At least she was in the luxury district now, just a couple of more minutes and she will be safe at home.
