So for a lot of us here on this beautiful website, we've been on various RP forums and have typed/drawn half a million AUs over the course of many, many years-- and our OCs haven't stayed static in that time. Whether they came from weeb roots or just had a million reboots (hehe that rhymed), I wanna see how everyone's characters started out versus where they are now. Lev under the cut: Once upon a time in 2014, Smash Bros. for Wii U was announced for release and this came with tons of reveal trailers for new fighters. Among these was the one for Robin, a.k.a. the main character for Fire Emblem Awakening. I'd seen this game all over Tumblr and now with it being included in Smash, I decided to pick up FEA so I knew who these characters were (I'd never played a Fire Emblem before then). tl;dr I really liked the game, so much so that on a certain forum, I wanted to make a magic-user OC based on my Robin-- a man I personified as constantly exasperated and " ohhhhh boy," stupidly named Lucin. I FORGOT THERE WAS A CHARACTER IN FEA NAMED LUCINA LOL Lucin was refined a bit and given a custom outfit (as much as I love the Tactician garb, I obviously couldn't copy it lol). He was now named Levenin, a poison elementalist who was more interested in gathering quests than leveling up and fighting, and his user was Stefan Schele. Levenin's personality was pretty similar overall back then to how he is now, only he probably had even less of a spine if that's even possible. Also, his hair was really hard to draw lol Levenin got really animu (this is important for later, I promise). Near the end of my tenure on a certain forum, I had a plan to make Lev a hacking asshole whose real life had impacted his experience in the game. This came with stupid one liners and the shorter haircut that I ended up keeping after bringing him to re:DUX. Most importantly, this hacking version of Lev set the groundwork for his Vigilante outfit and persona. Note that the mole switching sides was intentional, mostly because after Levenin was deleted and remade, he came back under the name Nineveh and accidentally mirrored his face during character creation lol BAM! New Levenin on re:DUX. Remember how I said he was still really animu? I ended up giving Lev a lot of Stefan's physical and historical details, among those being his ethnicity. So in order to incorporate this... I changed his face. A shit ton. But this is where I've kinda ended up and I'm pretty satisfied with it for the time being. But I'm picky so I expect it to change more in the coming months. I think it's pretty close to a year since I made him so ye, onto Year 2! And Elgen under the cut: Back in the mystical Bronze Age era of 2011, I joined a certain forum after seeing all kinds of characters and fun stuff posted on deviantART from its members. Luckily, I discovered there was an actual RP forum for all of this art right before registration went live that summer. I joined and studied the character creation guides before settling on my favorite thing ever: BIG GIANT AXES. I COULD MAKE A BIG ASS AXE OC. So I did and Elgen was born. His name was based on a local street name (with one vowel changed because I'm smart) and his infamous hair was inspired by Yuumei's Robin from Fisheye Placebo. I think he was much happier and good-natured at this point lol, hence why he's so brightly themed. Believe or not, he wasn't always a dickface. Unfortunately, I went back to university not too long after registration and got too busy to really RP much. And then the following year, when I tried getting back into it, I got hit with severe depression that I didn't manage to... well, manage until halfway through 2015 (it's been 7 months in recovery, holla). It put a stop to any writing or art. When I came back again after graduation, Elgen needed a major rehaul. He got one, but I still couldn't decide on his face, as you can see lol Also, I didn't keep like ANY of my art from 2011 so yeah, there's a huge jump in actual content. Come re:DUX, I've finally gotten an idea for his face but still waiting for outfit inspiration to hit me. Elgen is now sufficiently shitty to fit his unending rage and egotism. One day, I'll make a character sheet.... one day.

Heyooo! I'm down for this! So to start off, only 3 of my characters have had any life/activity before this and the previous forum. Specifically those three can trace their origins back to when I RP'd on the RoosterTeeth community site. I think it's actually been 10 years ago now since we started that. Anyway, myself and a bunch of friends (all of whom I've lost contact with except for Nick/Adel) RP'd on journals I made that essentially acted as one continuous thread that would end up getting 10,000+ posts. That happened 2-3 times, others were shorter. The three characters who survived from those times and made it to today are Lucius, Crowlin, and Sierra. Uriel, Lyon, and Elena were all created on the previous forum, so their history is relatively short and well known. Any of the pictures below that aren't credited (except for Crowlin's #2 which I drew) were ones I found on the internet that I though fit what I was looking for the character at the time, and photoshopped to my liking if they were off a bit. So the sources are forever lost. Lucius1. Lucius can be traced all the way back as the current iteration of my first ever OC. This character was named Chuuritsu and as you can see I used a picture of Anbu Itachi for him because this was back in my more weeby days. Of course I was a noob RPer and so Chuurasaurus was of course overpowered and blah blah blah. I like to think most of us have been there. Anyway those first RPs are hideous and shall remain forever buried in the horror of my RT journal history. 2. This was when I was getting a lot better at photoshopping stuff, but I still used a pic of Itachi. //hit Anyway, this was when the major theme to my RP worlds started to arise, influenced slightly by Fire Emblem when I made Chuuritsu the last prince of an extinct race of dragonkin called Manaketes who were killed off when caught in the middle of the war between angels and demons. Yeah. I know. Bear with me here. Angels above, demons below, and Manaketes (and humans) on the mortal plane. When his people were killed, he was entrusted with their guardianship of the cardinal elements which in turn granted him immortality. He lived in the old ruined Manakete capital, Lacerta Nivillensem, in the royal castle, with his two young daughters. He indeed had a wife, but she was also killed in the final battle that ended the rest. He didn't use any power over the elements in battle, his primary ability lasting through his career on RT being absolute speed. 3. Chuuritsu older, experimenting with potions and such in his copious amounts of spare time. 4. I forget who it was against, but Chuuritsu was badly wounded and disfigured in a battle that left him like that for a little while as he recovered. 5. This is how he looked during his post-recovery reveal. I think he had a plan in play or something that helped save the lives of a couple characters when that happened. 6. This is the final and longest lasting iteration of Chuuritsu. By this point that was his human name and I'd given him his Manakete name of Celeritas. His daughters had grown up, Melena was a incredibly smart scientist and technology developer who worked out of a massive underground lab she'd built under the castle, and Jezabel who had become a reaper for the underworld. By this point I also had like...20 other characters I RP'd as. I had a lot of energy back then. LOL This is also where the color white became a permanent theme for the character. 7. Lastly is the transfer and adaptation to the previous forum, taking on the name Lucius Glazdon, trading the castle and draconic race for a penthouse condo and a healthy bank account. Most of you all know him already. Here on Redux, his appearance will remain pretty much the same really as will his business-oriented traits. He will however lose the scar and taking a cue from #5 (Rufus Shinra), he'll probably get himself a nice white overcoat to sport in the world of Novus. (image credit to Azer) Crowlin1. So Crowlin started off life back on RoosterTeeth as well, appearing as Celeritas's fraternal twin brother who was given away to a human family to avoid any future power struggle between them. His human name was Soren, his Manakete name Verisium, and his power was absolute strength. Despite their separation, the two of them maintained a mental connection throughout their youths which was cut off when Verisium was sealed into a vault for several years with numerous other humans to protect them from the immense war. The two brothers then lived in the castle, good relationship between them. Not much else to say other than that other than that he was part of an OTP. 2. This was the translation of him onto 'the previous forum'. More in personality than in appearance. He actually started off as a telekinetic magician who used his abilities to control and attack using a pair of butterfly-knives. He was actually never eval'd and was then dormant as a character for a while. Eventually though I got back to him, updated his appearance to his iconic gold scheme rather than red, gave him a dark tan, and changed him to a burglar class for eval...which was later eliminated and defaulted him to assassin class! 3. Crowlin became a member of Virus, took on the name Subtle Omen, became really established as a character, and soon enough fell head over heels for Rakuen. This is actually his second uniform, designed by Michi, and his first (and blander uniform that I made) can be found here (<<image credit to Scotty). Though I did keep the helm, cause I was really proud of that idea. (image credit to Michi) 4. This is Crowlin's appearance when he became Dancer class and got his lightning magic to replace the capacitor that he used to fight with before. Definitely an upgrade, and I wanted him to have a nice new outfit to go with the eventful change~ (image credit to Nilo) 5. And here we are today where we have Novus hacker Crowlin sporting his new gear, the lion genetic splices, a new haircut, and keeping his hopeless love and affection for Rakuen~ (image credit to Varmun) Sierra1. So here we have the origin of Sierra, Celeritas's daughter Melena (the techy one). She was part of an OT3 actually way back in the day on RT. As mentioned before, she developed a whole bunch of modern technology and scientific advances as well as creating the android army that helped to protect the castle along with her pet project, a much more powerful android by the name of Nikoli who was essentially the head of security for the castle grounds. 2. This is her eventual translation over to 'the previous forum', where she traded in all of the tech and such for a leather shirt, gloves, and guards, twin sledgehammers, and a blacksmith shop. She kept a bit of her blonde hair as you can see and of course was shipped off with Kathe~ (image credit to Nama) 3. Finally is the translation to Redux. I just realized this is the first time I think I've publicly displayed this! This is her new look, taking on a legless 1-piece jumpsuit, black pants, a leather halter jacket, and a pair of tazer gloves. Here she'll be a bounty hunter for the government/police, bringing in hard-to-find criminals for pay. That said, she always tries to follow and capture them at their hideout/warehouse/etc so that she can make her way back afterwards and steal anything that she can sell and supply back onto the black market...which is fine as long as the police don't find out about that part. She will also take on jobs from time to time that are just direct "procurement" if she needs some money or the challenge looks good. Coming soon to a Redux forum near you! (image credit to Ocean/Shawna) I can't believe I remembered as much as I did for this, and thank goodness I kept my ancient photobucket account well organized.

Well I'll be, Elgen actually smiled at some point.
Lyante hasn't changed much, she's relatively young as a character. Though her ianti rendition is not that socially capable, her redux incarnation lost that skill for the most part entirely.
Redux Lyante also has an alarming level of otaku mixed in.
Whereas RL ianti Lyante still knew her dad and her mom was alive, redux lyante has both of them deceased.
Ianti Lyante used to wear a witch hat, but that was lost somewhere in the mix as her standard outfit became the chinese dress.
That's about the evolution I guess.

I think the oldest growth for characters would be Gaia. originally Gaia was known as Nightshade, my imaginary friend and my oldest character. she was given more depth for a story I hold close to my heart as a fallen angel looking for redemption. when I went to ianti I decided to reform h Nightshade look wise to be human but her personality was tossed for awhile. originally on isn't, Aphrodite had control of the Gaia account and so for a short time Gaia was bitch due to me wanting to have the irony of a hippie being in a military operation. eventually I formed Aphrodite into her own character and went beck to Gaia's original personality of being motherly with the hint of vengefulness. Eventually Gaia became my insert character of sorts. her struggles were the ones I had offline with issues dealing with her mother, lonilness, need to be perfect and her struggling depression and anxiety. she was also an alcoholic which I felt foreshadowed my desire to drink more. Then I went to a forum called ruins in which I had the chance to separate gaia as the avatar and Gaia offline who is this shy and timid person. on this forum Gaia herself was an Ai of sorts and she was more strict motherly type and a bit more prudish but still easy to fluster. And now we have Gaia on redux....I feel like I haven't used her enough to tell what she is like now. I know she has more panic attacks lol.
The other one with the most change is Asian. While he hasn't been rped yet here the details in his personality differ from ianti. on Kant he was hella religious with a jungle fever fetish who also always had a stick up his butt about change. here he is spiritual and tries to find the good in others. still kinky on the inside but doesn't really get ashamed that easily. actually the easiest way to look at him. Ianti he was conservative, redux he is a liberal

[ Finally got my important job phone call today, and set some things up. Yay! Fixed my computer's memory issues too. Double yay! ]
Ahhhh, I love things like these. Thanks for sharing, all of you.
* Nama, you put so much thought and care into your characters' facial features, it warms my heart. ♪ They definitely feel like they're evolving along with you. Very cool that you kept track of this. I still think Lev has the sweetest face. *boops that wonderful nose* Also, I had always wondered what Elgen's hair might be inspired from. Want to play with the little floopy hairs and the ponytail, eternally. Every about this is awwww.
* oAo Hoooooly cow, Glaz. Your characters went through so many interesting changes. Especially Crowlin??? Er, well. I mean, Lucius' line up seems to have the most dramatic flair and I have to say, I'm really impressed to molded him through all the thick and thin. Very nice! Much determination. He turned out rather cool in the end, ey? But yeah! Because I met Crowlin around his mid-evolution point (#3) it tickles me especially. I will forever be a fan of yellow-black uniform. And Sierra? Admitted, I squeaked when I learned she started as a tech developer. Cute origins. Cute tough wonder gal. *supports the ponytail decision like there's no tomorrow*
* [Lol. That part about Elgen smiling. XD] Tyché, I think we're in the same boat as far as having relatively young characters. Still, I've really enjoyed peeking in on Lyante (even over Koko's shoulder at times) to see how she is doing. To me, she has always given off a bit of a clever-mysterious beauty type of character vibe (so so cool), and well... I definitely need to work up the guts to pester you about her more. For now, yes. Please keep going with her~!
-----
Um, well... very few of my characters actually transfer between sites...? But I guess I'll go with HD. He's not here, but he's Pascal's ancestor so...? *shrug*]
* Main goal: Make a character I would never get bored with. And so! The idea was to toss a bunch of the stuff I loved into him. As a fan of Dragon Quest and the Legend of Zelda, I wanted to make an adorable *cough* I mean totally super cool-n-aweshum boomerang pirate with a child-like sense of adventure! As a pirate, I thought being greedy for treasure was a must. And as a wannabe hero of his own story, he had to have longish ears. Gave him a whole lotta secretly trolly toughness and stuffed him full of fire and sunshine to survive the harsh environment of his wintry homeland. Because while snow will always have a special place in my heart from childhood memories of Stuttgart Germany, cold colors and blueness were kryptonite. I demanded a happy character to combat the gloomy pity-parties I tended to throw myself after the dark ages of school left me in a bad place emotionally. Also? I was probably a little mad that all the other snow people on the site back then were frosty themed for some reason. XD (Snow does not mean everyone wears fur guys, noooooo! *huff-rage*) Instead, for years, HD was going to wear a black thermal suit under the rest of his clothes and have the frost resistance of an abominable snow-carrot. Nice and covered. Thinking on troll toughness further, I remembered all the dumb troll dolls I used to have and--- bam. Between that and the hairstyles of my fave "kewl nerd heroes" at the time- Zenki and Freakazoid, I decided on a hair style. It's orange, because FIREBALLS! Oh. And crazy long sideburns over. Sideburns are manreeeeee. Heck. Because I had recently watched a beach episode (of Johnny Bravo I think?), I was even in the mood to add a drop of 'surfer dude' and random action poses, 'cause he was gonna think he was cool. A gunshow without big guns. *shot* Not meant to be skinny or super beefy in the beginning. Just solid. I couldn't figure out how to express that. The carrot obsession came from me wanting to initially give him the antics of Bugs Bunny. Picked HD's name after a bunch of deep thinking about the kind of person I wanted him to be. The summary: eternal quest for self improvement / "I wanna be the very best me I can be" and "I'm gonna have fun being myself, no matter what." That said? Mr. Carrot-head went through a ridiculous amount of minor gear upgrades from all of his adventures. I'll spare you the full list. Random side fact though: He has always had special symbols of sorts on the back of his Lion Kite vest. Then, while I was still "dawww'ing" over Zenki hair and began watching more Dragon Ball Z, HD's hair evolved into thicker spikes. I played with the idea of a straight upward fireball for his frontal view after cracking one joke in an rp somewhere that he did an awesome Super Saiyan power yell in a fight- hhhaaaaAAAAAAAAHHHHH (and immediately ran for his life). Minor nod to his evolving hair antennae/ ahoge, from spagetti noodle droopiness to mini boomerang bunny ears. They gained the ability to twitch and emote. Later, I liked to tease him by messing up his hero hair with buckets of water. Which, IN ADDITION to his "magical Sailor Moon style" transformation in Holly Jolly Hunters, gave rise to the "Not and ELF" saga. I thiiiiink I started drawing his teeth pointier to counteract the unexpected squee reactions I used to get from pics like this? XD Anyhow. Fangs = better for chewing through ropes and stuff like a field mouse. Oh. By the way. Dumb scars and stuff happened completely not by choice. Gosh darned hilarious events, you know? (He had fun with the key hole pretending he was iron man.) Pretty sure his cleverness began to peek through the silliness around this time. Maybe. So there he was, getting marked up and doodled on like the Ken doll five-year-old Xela never had and going through this phase of trying to convince people how rawr- not a pretty-boy he was. (HD, thanks for putting up with me. LOL.) Meanwhile I was just trying to practice muscles? His waist became more trim as I rationalized "big boomerang mainly develops his arms, back, and shoulders anyway, so meh." His face gradually got longer as I tried to figure out how to look a tiny bit more masculine. Or at least less like he lived in the wonderful world of Pokemon. Lol. Not that this stopped him from becoming 30% more Pokemon anyway. I love Pokemon, okay?
Did I mention he got 50% worse at dealing with women? *double shot* Hm... There were a couple of AU and what if type things along the way. (!) The only other site I contemplated bringing him to over to was one for Fire Emblem. And ohhhh, all my dreams of an AU for Monkey-D Gundam. *thunders* Then eventually, I started to get the hang of his body-type stuff. I think? My dork was finally gaining experience as a business man, building all sorts of things for people. Helped install and maintain several elaborate amusement parks across the digital world, etc. I won't go into all the ways he came up with to make money. Just know that he became very rich and tough. Muscles and a slightly more angular face were to help express all his hard work. PS) Congrats, HD. You officially glow. PSS) I TURNED HIM INTO A ROCKET. Finally~! Over time I started using more of a orange-red as the base for his hair-color so that it will come out the color I wanted when I do a full coloring. The whole thing is extra spiky pa-POOF now with a few small bits to break up the blockiness I was starting to feel from his spikes. Er, pardon the WIP and undies? It's the most recent pic I have of him while I try to figure out his next outfit upgrade. He's in a personal story I have offline, but the last place I left him on the site was preparing to manage the large shares a recently passed mentor left to him for a large company in reality. He had to tear himself away from his game work long enough to try to sort things out, and well... I'll leave it at that. Anyhow, that's the reason for happy dumb business-HD disguise of ultimate Jeff'ness in the second pic. (DUUUUDE, LOL. NO ONE'LL EVER KNOW!) He's going to invent something that lets him use a kid-mode disguise eventually. And the chibi? A reminder that no matter what, the most important thing about doodling the Carrot King is: "oh no, it's cute!" // forever listens to all the cute cat girl music, shoujo, and Pokemon
*took a bit to find evidence pics* I may add Animus later if anyone is curious. That's enough picture spam for today.

So most of my characters don't have that much evolution to them. Some of them do, but not too much overall like some of these. Most of my iAnti characters were made within the last year or two and didn't get that much development. Some stayed relatively the same throughout their lives both on iAnti and here. There, are, however, two characters that have changed a fair amount. Zail/Isaac Vasari
Zail was my first character for the iAntiVirus forum, and although he was inspired by a lot of different things, he wasn't a direct reincarnation of any of my previous RP characters. I've been on several different RP forums and have created several stories throughout my life, but until re:DUX I had always tried to create brand new characters each time. So I started with Zail. His name was meant to be a play on the word "gale" because I knew I wanted him to be fast. The thing was, Azer had a comic she was creating at the time called Half Dead, and there was a character in that named Gail. I thought the name was spelled "Gale," so I was like, "Okay, then instead of naming my character Zale, I'll spell it Zail." Preeeeetty sure I was wrong and the character was actually named Gail, so I fucked up. Oh well. The names were similar, but the characters were very different. The reason Zail is here is because he had the most development out of all of my characters, given that I have had him for about 8 years now, including his re:DUX reincarnation. This is Zail's first ever reference, and I honestly don't know why I gave him a smile. Though his backstory was made a few months after his initial creation, I knew from the start that he was going to be a sort of Batman/Wolverine sort of character. He had an overly complicated past to try and explain his rage and his paranoid personality (but behind it all lied a heart of gold //gags on my own cliches). Since iAnti took place in a video game world, Zail had an old account in his backstory, named Reigne. Reigne served as a way to create a semi-dramatic and semi-believable way for why Zail could get so emotionally and mentally scarred in a video game, as Reigne was tortured for hours on end before he and his girlfriend's characters were ultimately deleted. The backstory was--again--needlessly complicated, but it did allow me to explain some of the design choices behind Zail. Since Zail wanted to find his girlfriend in the game, he tried to dress himself similarly to Reigne--a character that his girlfriend had helped design. Because Zail was a more serious character who wasn't really into the anime culture, having Reigne be the way he was allowed me to give reasons for some of the features of his outfits that I personally just really, really liked. Lol. Maybe justifying it wasn't exactly necessary, but it was kind of fun to give a reason behind every design choice. One thing I had a lot of fun with was coming up with the clothes for Zail, especially with the dragon bones I littered across his early outfits. Also, his gauntlets evolved over time because they would actually physically change the more Zail used them and leveled them up. So that was fun. Zail's special abilities also evolved a lot over time. Initially, he had a twin-suicide skill where he created a giant explosion. It had a fairly appropriate name, I think. Again, I had a lot of fun designing Zail's many different outfits and weapons. Eventually, Zail was able to get revenge on the people who had wronged him, and he was able to achieve some level of happiness. As we all know, those stories don't really end the way the character thinks they will, but for a while, Zail was happier and he was starting to let go of the things that he had clung to for so many years. One of which was his ponytail, which he had tied with a hair tie left behind by his girlfriend's deleted avatar. When he let go of that piece of her, he let his hair just hang out for a while. Mostly, I did this because of this one chapter in Bleach where Ichigo beats Ulquiorra and his hair is really long after his Hollow transformation. I thought it looked cool, so I tried it out on Zail. It didn't last long because Zail was a practical guy who didn't want long hair getting in his way in fights... that and I kinda lost interest in the design, not gonna lie. lol See? Back to short hair in--like--one drawing, maybe two. I can't remember. Have you noticed that Zail's body type fluctuates? ... It wasn't intentional :'| He was always meant to be toned but thin. Oh well. And now we draw close to the end of his life on the previous forum. I like to call this period in time "The Year of the Trench Coat." Zail did manage to finally find inner peace, and he became a much happier--though still serious--man who mostly served as a wise (or at least I hope) teacher for younger characters. Now, on re:DUX, Zail has been re-imagined as Isaac Vasari. A lot of his design was based on Zail's player (because, again, iAnti was set in a video game, so Zail needed a player behind the computer ). Meet Izac Lucion, the man who can't spell his #$%&ing name right. So now the differences between Isaac and Zail aren't all that much in terms of personality. Really, Isaac is about the same as when Zail started--an angry young man who has a hard time trusting people. In re:DUX, though, Isaac can be more open to people when his brother is around, and a lot of his skill set changed. He's no longer the best fighter out of all of my characters. In fact, his fighting is pretty brutish and unrefined, whereas Zail was a master of martial arts. Isaac is also a thief, and Zail was not. The only skill they both share is their speed, as Isaac is still the fastest natural runner (Renee doesn't count because she has gene mods) out of all of my characters. He also isn't the most clever or deductive. Those titles now belong to Caith Alwood. And sometime in the future, Isaac will become an even better thief, a more renowned and infamous thief: The Specter. Veral
Veral is actually the only character from the iAntiVirus forum that came from a different source. Again, it's only now that I have re-imagined characters into a new forum, at least on this scale. Veral was, oddly enough, the first one that I re-imagined like this. Originally, Veral came from a manga-style story I had worked on in my late teens. The story was called Heaven's Abyss, and Veral was a minor antagonist, a ruthless murderer and cannibal who had been sealed away with magic by his own brother. Veral's one and only appearance in the story was meant to be a long fight where he unleashes hell on the heroes, almost killing all of them. His role was bigger than that, though. His death would be a turning point in the plot, as the character that would finally kill him would use a forbidden spell that nearly cost him his own life and would end up revealing a huge plot point in the series. This was all in my head, though. I didn't end up doing anything with the story except for some drawings. When I brought Veral to iAnti, his personality changed fairly drastically. Instead of a mindless psychopath, he became an egotistical asshole who had a flair for the dramatic. At times, he did grin like a monster in the same way that his original incarnation did, but he was never on the same level of sinister and ruthless. The biggest similarity between the two is the design of their outfits and their weapons. I kept a lot of Veral's original design because I liked it and I figured the new Veral would feel like a badass with the one shackle, the chipped sword, and the tattered clothes. Veral wasn't restricted to this style of outfit, though. Often times he would dress in more contemporary, often times classy attire. Part of the fun with him was coming up with the clothes he would wear for certain occasions, but that wasn't explored as much as I would have liked due to the old forum dying out. While not all of my characters went through detailed changes like Zail and Veral, they definitely changed over time, so here are some quick little summaries of character developments. Forte/Dante Vasari
Red/Renee Hood
Renee started out as Red on iAntiVirus. She was a Necromancer who joined the video game world with a quartet of friends who all based their avatars off fictional characters (the others being Thumbelina, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, and Briar Rose from Sleeping Beauty). The fun of Red was that she was a little bundle of crazy. She was very silly, and so were her designs and characteristics. I took a lot of inspiration from the original Grimm fairy tale, and for each thing I found in the story, I ran with it and made it a part of her character. For example: since Little Red Riding Hood was delivering a basket of goodies to her grandmother, I gave her an affinity for food and ultimately made her a talented chef. The biggest differences between Red and Renee Hood are that Renee is a little less blind to the world, and she holds the title of being the best hand-to-hand fighter out of all of my characters (a title originally held by Zail). I don't have a reference for Renee on re:DUX yet Caith Alwood
I might come back here and make another post when I create a reference for Titus, because he is actually one of the few other characters of mine that was re-imagined from somewhere other than the iAntiVirus forum.

OK FIRST OF ALL I THINK ZAIL AND KYNE JUST KINDA TRADED COLORS AT AROUND THE SAME TIME AND I FIND THIS INCREDIBLY AMUSING. Second woah boy this will be a ride :V Kyne :> - - you can slowly watch him evolve from precious child to WOW WHAT AN ASSHOLE THOUGH. ----------- SO. Going back back baaaack the first version of Kyne I ever had he was a darkelf character for a thing 8'V I trashed everything except the design for him but this is the very First, from 2006. Pain. Suffering. Woe is me for laying my eyes upon this again. Why. And then we have this version :D Who changed a bit as he went along But for the most part Still a precious child w a cute haircut And then slowly Became an actual Asshole I mean look at this loser Just letting his hair get long again, he's not even pretending not to be an asshole I enjoy gradually seeing his hair get long again +++ also enjoying RED. He got red. He's red in a lot of other settings too now but its about 50/50 :v ---------- Annnd let's explore Zeke who has been around for a fucking while too. ---------- So I don't technically know how old this is but here is the very first. Zeke. I've had this asshole for SO VERY LONG and I don't know what style thing I was experimenting with here but ????? Yes. Truly, truly amazing. He became less horrifying though. He got fluffier And then ponytail happened \ o / Then this And then fuck him up for here whoops Ok but Xela I saw you posted an AU compilation pic and I did the same for kyne. These aren't even all the significant AU settings I have stuff for him with //sOBS

Holy crap, you're right o Ao They did switch colors! Wtf! Lol. Also, I remember all of those Kyne drawings except the very first dark elf one. Otherwise, I seem to remember Kyne from the moment you first made him on iAnti.

*rooollllllls* XDDDDD Not gonna lie, guys. I fan-girled my way through most of this while waiting for the snow to fall. Under a blanket. Because. It's embarrassing. Lol, A-ANYWAY THE FAN-FEELS ARE MUCHLY APPEASED THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING ALL OF THIS TOGETHER, BOTH OF YOU.
@ Varmun)
So hey. B-because I kinda-sorta-stalked your art (sorry *cry*) I remember every single one of these! Will gush forever if I try to talk about all of them. So instead, I'll pick on Zail- the one who gave me the greatest 'bring out the pom poms/ put on the cheerleader headband' feels. I'll confess: part of the reason I cheered so hard over his vengeful journey is because I remember seeing that very first pic you drew of him somehow. And he was smiling. And I was like, 'Awwwww, wow. Zail was happy?' \;u;/ *goal sighted* It was a-okay if he was still serous by the end of it all. I just wanted to be able to see him smile like that again someday. Cool guy must be happy, huzzah! Must wish really hard for him to make good friends and find peace. (Wait... actually, I'm probably doing that a little on reDUX too. )
+ As a long-time fan of dragons, I always enjoyed watching his gear upgrades. ♪ Scales, bones--- and he even got a freaking adorable baby-dragon pet. All the win.
++ While I'll adore his fuzzy spikely-head no matter what, I will never NOT miss the ponytail. Good memories of wanting to (chibi) swing from it and dumb things like that. Red and silver was hella.
+++ Now, I like that even if he's not the "best at" most of the things he used to be, his abilities seems well-rounded. Like maybe... maybe I won't have to worry about his safety so much in the scary post apocalyptic world? (Even if dying is actually DYING now. Even if he works for a terrifying lady.) I believe he'll make it. Will continue to pom pom for him hardcore.
@ Scotty) .... *curls into a ball of shame*
1. He started as a dark elf. That's amazing. 2. ...Sweet flipping pancakes, KYNNNNNNE. QAQ How was he such a precious baby? Seriously, how? I remember coming across all of these eventually. (*cough* For reasons.) But the first time I saw him, his hair was long and I had the intense urge to poke his face-cheeks. And hug him. And harass him. 'Cause much casual-adorableness.
3. I think the fan-feels got worse when I realized he was a tiny-bit like a blue fire-pirate. Sash was important. Sudden eye-patch that came later was also important. // stamped // I supported that message.
4. Scrolling through this again, and OH, OKAY. It's like I can pin point the exact moment where I became too self-conscious to shamelessly koala his head. I'm cool with sheer adorableness, but dang it-- him with his sudden extra handsomeness out of no where. Still can not handle. RAGH!!! *rages under a bucket* S-so yeah. In the end, I don't think it ever mattered to me how much Kyne evolved into an a--- *can't even bring myself to call him that, because of precious baby memories/ SHOT* He can be a blue pirate, a Naruto nerd, a dragon... collect however many hotness badges he wants. *flails* What I love most is that as a character he always had this underlying sense of humor to him. Yeah. That's my favorite part. Keep being fun, Kyne. Keep being fun~!
[edit] AU PICS. So many. *squawks, wild Xela is amused. Uses encore.*
