I want to know what the take on this is from the admin side. (ouo)/
So I'm guessing that the NUIP system will eventually have security measures in place to combat, eliminate, and prevent the OUTBREAK virus. That said, getting the virus's code from an infected person would be relatively easy by connecting to them with a computer through their port and searching through the files for the script, .exe, .reg, whatever the infection source file is. It might take some time for a program to comb through, but the process is simple enough. If this is accomplished, then over time the virus can be broken down and inspected by non-government parties, allowing them to pick and adapt code for other uses. For instance a hacker able to spread a new infection that can allow them to trigger a temporary hallucination of total black/blindness in infected people before the virus self-terminates.
Basically similar what people have done with Stuxnet, but applied to the Redux world.

CrowlinGallanusHi glaz! Seeing as we're still in the middle of the outbreak plot, we can't really answer any questions about the aftermath of it, sorry. We don't want to spoil what's still in store or what might happen, so if you have any questions about what happens after the plot ends in canon we're gonna have to ask you to wait until everything's unfolded. That being said, Tyche asked a question earlier that was somewhat along the lines of this, so we can give you something of an answer. Any program or otherwise that can influence a person's emotions specifically or what they see/hear from within the NUIP itself after this plot can only be enacted with the consent of the person who the program is being run on, both ooc and ic. While technically you could lie about what is going to run on the program(like spam bots or false security alerts), the person would still have to click 'yes I want to download and run this program on myself' before any effects could occur.
