This was... perfect.
The opportunity for them to go to Isidil was something Teddy almost hadn't been able to snag. But as soon as he'd heard the destination, he snapped on the mission as quickly as possible. It had taken a little bit of begging, insisting that he and Kyne had plenty of training and were capable of doing this without their mentors -- Teddy didn't know why Ritseiku had seemed so amused, but he and Attie had allowed it soon enough. Granted, he had to admit his intentions to Attie to prevent Kyne from figuring it all out.
Violets glanced over from where he was seated in their ship, gaze finding Kyne. Teddy had been working overtime on appearing absolutely irritable but -- it might have been a bit suspicious, in retrospect. "We should be there soon, so make sure you aren't dozing off or anything," he shot in a level voice, turning away before he could give anything away on his face.
They were so close. Teddy could finally fulfill the promise he'd made five years ago. The thought made him excited and -- and flustered. A touch of red came to his cheeks and he angled his head even farther away from Kyne's line of sight.

It was mostly a handful of blips and bloops here and there over top of the low hum of the ship that kept it from breaking into unbearable monotony. Teddy was there but not really all that pleasant or conversational; something had him sour and whatever it was had sucked all the fun out of teasing him. Bah, no fun at all. Kyne leaned back in his seat, definitely not dozing off at all or anything like that, but appearing at the very least lazy and unentertained. If this was going to be their first unsupervised mission and it was already starting out like this, Kyne could see why they'd been allowed to go- clearly, nothing interesting was going to happen.
Where were they even supposed to be going, anyway? The other boy had outright refused to tell him but considering Kyne had agreed to go (jumped on the opportunity, actually- no one watching over constantly, someone to tease, maybe danger and excitement even!) he hadn't asked enough questions and now it was left to mystery. Boo.
When Teddy did speak up finally, it was enough for Kyne to take interest immediately, despite the accusatory words (which, for the record, sounded forced and grumpy but that was just kind of the way Teddy was). Kyne leaned forward a bit, striking up a lazy grin as he answered, "Come on, I never doze off. Gimme some credit."
Slate eyes wandered up from the oh-so-informative back of the other boy's head out into the stars. Which super boring planet were they going to end up on, he wondered? It had to be better than Coruscant though; even five years hadn't been enough to wash away his desire for fresh air and real ground below his feet.
"So, you gonna fill me in or are you just waiting to throw me in blind and see what I do? Because that's rude, y'know." He leaned back with an obviously fake huff, adding, "I don't appreciate rude."
