In Which Rakuen Seeks Her Fortune WARNING: blood, violence and death. e Ue Rakuen Paradise was born in the middle class, brought up there and lived a pretty happy life. Her mom was an art professor and her dad a detective in the police force. It was time for Rakuen to take her test to find out her fortune, and was excited to take on any job like her parents'. She was talented in music and drawing, and she was a very clever girl, which was only natural being the detective's girl.
And with the coming of age, she was free to do anything. She wanted to be spliced with cool things, but her parents had told her no, and several times they grew to be ugly fights. Rakuen, being an only child, could be spoiled at times and splicing was something she knew she'd get one way or another. And so, with stolen money from her dad's wallet, she went out to get it. She didn't care, she just really, really wanted this.
But she didn't get far before her father caught up with her, explaining that it's not that he thinks it's wrong, but that he wasn't sure if she was ready for alterations. He wanted her to take the test first. Rakuen agreed for now, and they headed home with Rakuen in tears, sorry for her selfish behavior.
There was a riot that night, as they were traveling home and they got caught in a fight between secret police and vigilantes. The violence worsened into a nightmare, houses on fire and people screaming, running away from the little corner of what used to be a peaceful neighborhood in the city.
"Daddy, I'm scared." Rakuen cried, holding onto her dad's sleeve as they tried to slink away into the night, but every hiding place eventually succumbed to the flames. There was no escape from the fire and the armed people. What was this? Were they under attack?
"Run." Rakuen's father said firmly, pushing his daughter back, holding up his gun ready to shoot anyone who threatened them.
"What?"
"I said 'run,' Rakuen!" Her father yelled back, looking at his daughter. The violence drew closer, and Rakuen felt so afraid she immediately bolted away, never stopping to look back, running around the crowds and buildings until the sound of a shot fired just behind her stopped her in her tracks, making her heart plummet into her stomach.
BLAM!
The sound echoed through the cold air, and Rakuen snapped her head back to see. Her eyes were so wide with horror, she hadn't known that her father had been following behind her and now she watched her father's body fall to the pavement.
"DADDY!"
Rakuen ran to him, falling onto her knees trying to help him up, "C'mon dad we have to run! This whole place is going down in flames--" And it was then that her father spat out flood, his hand grasping a gushing bullet wound in his side. "D-dad, you're bleeding, oh god, oh god--" Rakuen pulled off her jacket and pressed it firmly against it, trying her best to stop the bleeding, but she knew it was rushing out of him too fast.
"Rakuen..." Her father held her face to guide her to look at him, her eyes filled with tears, slowly losing the will to look at him. But her father guided her back up to look at him and he smiled, like he was telling her now much he loved her, and with his last breath he fell quiet in her arms.
Weeks passed, and it was time to take the test.
Rakuen opened the door to her little home where she saw her mom painting like always, the sun streamed through the windows and from the screen door streamed in the sounds of chimes and her mother's aviary filled with finches. Rakuen shivered, waiting for her mom to look back at her, "W-well, how do I look?"
Her mom turned around as she set down her paintbrush, smiling big as she teared up a bit, "Oh honey you look absolutely beautiful. Those rabbit ears are gorgeous-- oh! You even spliced yourself with a cat like me."
Rakuen giggled, her tall rabbit ears tucking down, "Heheh yeah, I thought dad might like it." The room quieted when she said that, Rakuen looking back at a picture on the table of her father and her at a carnival.
Her mom took her hand and patted it, "I'm sure he would of been so proud of you." Then she turned to pick up the photo and they both looked at it smiling, "I'm sure he's happy to know you're an artisan like me, and we couldn't be proud enough of you, darling." She said kissing the temple of Rakuen's head, before walking back to her painting and sitting down. "You hungry dear? I could fix you some coffee."
"Oh, no thank you." Rakuen smiled and opened the door again, "I just came by to show you the new look, I acually have to meet someone on the other side of town, A cafe where I can sing."
"Oh wonderful honey, I hope you get the job."
"Thanks. Wish me luck!"
Rakuen closed the door and went on her way. Her dream was to become a singer, as well as a vigilante to protect the ones she loves, which her father would not have wanted, but would have been proud of her nonetheless.

Rise of the Quetzalcoatl WARNING: Blood... and i think that's it. Oh and family members disappearing idk. Bikini Gutierrez didn't really remember when she was born, but the farthest she could ever remember was the day people started to fear her.
Bikini had forgotten most of her past. That she was born in the slums, born an only child and her parents did all they could to climb the ranks to a better life, taking more and more performance shows as the only "exotic dancers" of the whole city. No one knew her family's style of dancing, the use of colorful mechanical costumes that turned two people dancing into one magnificent creature dancing like one. They called it the Quetzalcoatl, with a dragon looking appearance with colorful scales and feathers, it sure got a lot of attention for people to be actually interested in buying tickets to a show; but it also distracted people from the many times her parents robbed them.
"One day, we'll make you a real Quetzalcoatl." They would tell her, to be the most beautiful, powerful and graceful dancer. The idea of gene splicing their daughter was a risky one, it would make her stick out like an albino panther-- nonconforming and never able to really connect. But that didn't matter, as long as Bikini could rise to the top as the great new-line of dancing performers.
Bikini's parents would of done the same, but gene splicing back in the day was a bit pricey. They made enough to live easy and finally got enough to spare the money for splicing, Bikini at the time so oblivious to the world, unknowing as to what she was getting herself into. But the imagination to be a living dancer as graceful as her parents in their mechanical dragon costume creation-- was too powerful on her conscious that she wanted so much to make her family proud, and have their design come to life-- literally.
And so, it became the day Bikini was taken in and got genetically spliced with the most beautiful creatures to make a Quetzalcoatl-- the bright lively feathers of the scarlet macaw for height in her steps, the energy of ten dancers, and the spirit that can't be stirred. And the precious scales of a banana ball python, the beauty and strength to lift her up without a partner, and execute moves not seen by any normal human could do. And when she was spliced she was so beautiful in her parent's eyes, colorful feathers and a long broad snake tail, with one added genetic alteration not really wanted-- but was to be sure a good thing... hands that looked like dragon claws, perhaps an odd fusion of both animal genes. But it hardly messed with the original ideal design of their daughter, she was finally perfect.
Their whole life perfect.
Or would of been, until the authorities came to take away Mr and Mrs Gutierrez.
They might of been humble dancing performers, but they did much more than that. They were professional thieves that evolved from petty stealing, they had also began to rob small banks and jewelry stores of the middle class quarters. Finally with a lead, the officials where directed to a dancing duo who had a very suspicious invention that could of made it easy to rob these places, large damage but no fingerprints. The couple retaliated arrest, fighting for their freedom with the Quetzalcoatl contraption, built for more than just dancing it was armed with flame throwers and claws really mean more for just street tricks. In the process of fighting back, they had shoved Bikini out of the way being seen or involved of the arrest, making Bikini hit her head on the asphalt blacking out instantly before she could even understand what was happening to her family. And Bikini never saw her parents since, never knowing if they died or if they are still alive, she just didn't know.
When Bikini regained her consciousness, her eyes were blackened with exhaust, her head ached and all she could sense was... heat. She could see nothing but heat, sensing red and orange hues of the living passing her by as her tired body was slumped against a building. When she did manage to open her eyes wide to see the world like she used to with her normal eyes, it was already morning of the next day. Getting up she looked over her body, looking in terror and screaming when she felt her tail move for the very first time. She had no remembrance of the gene splicing, the arrest-- the faces of her mother and father. She couldn't remember that at all.
But what she could remember was her name, and how to dance as if she was born with it. However, it didn't help that the fact the issue of having claws-- made people fear her. She tried reaching out to people for help, but she'd end up cutting them with her crazy sharp talons. She was confused and angry at herself, and so she ran, hiding under a bridge dried up from long ago, looking down into the last puddle of water at the creature she didn't recognize as herself. She disliked it so much, she just wanted to hurt herself. She didn't want to stay here alive if she couldn't keep herself from hurting people when she got close. Out of frustration she began beating her head and crying, her claws snatching onto her input jack and ripping it out of her, sending a loud ringing int her ears, and with the amount of blood she lost out of her fit she fainted after that.
And after that day she realized she was hidden by the eyes of the government now, and that made things a bit easier for her, getting back into society and dancing for money, partying to keep her life exciting, and her hands hidden in long sleeves that don't hurt anyone anymore. A parent's design and a little girl's dream, she was the perfect child, even if they were never there for her from that day on.

Oh wow D: Poor Rak and Bikini. I have to say, I really like Bikini's backstory (Bias? What bias? I don’t know what you're talking about). It just had so much detail and was unique how Bikini's parents were not the greatest of people. It was also sad seeing Bikini just go nuts from the amnesia and grief, tearing at herself that way. //hugs her

The Girl With Ero's Arrows
(work in progress, still raw from my mind lol)
Once upon a time,
a baby girl born from a mother imprisoned and had no other choice than to give her baby up, found her child taken away and at once stolen by people on the inside, waiting for an opportunity for children, because...
children are the future.
And immediately, she was hidden underground, with no identity or license, completely unseen by the waking eyes of government. She went through millions of tests and genetic alterations, some of which almost killed her, and others made her stronger. There was no moment inn her life she wasn't tested on for her abilities and more genetic alterations, and was left to interact with the other genetically modified children. However, childhood was hard, there was no time to have friends when they all had the instinct to kill or be killed.
No real brute strengths she survived the other children by her abilities of hiding and defense, she had one special feature- a substance that made anyone adore her... obsess over her. That was her only greatest defense and terms of surviving.
The organization who stole her and made her, was an organization bent to find a formula to make super beings- genetically modified people made better than the original DNA format of an average human-- but hey had failed. One child, their greatest creation had escaped his chamber and attacked everyone in sight, sending the underground laboratory and facility down into explosive flames and destroying nearly all record of the project. All except her.
She managed to escape, fend herself from the dying monstrous child and escaping into the surface of the Slums, burned and exhausted, no young lady could ever hope to live in a world where they knew nothing of the surface and life that existed there, the diseases and toxins that filled the air of the lowest rings of society.
But some say they still see a glowing figure, wandering the dark corners of alleyways and abandoned roads, a wild animal curious about real life she was ripped away from, innocent and uneducated she'll be lucky to survive a week. But, this would be a true and final test of how well made she was.
