"S-s-s-s-sweet talk?! No! I-I mean ehh it's not - not really..." Her face flared up once more as she held her hands up in defence. What did he even think of her?! All right it might have been a teensy tiny bit her own fault for talking that way, but really she didn't mean anything by it!
"I just-ugh!" Riley shook her head in defeat as Dante took off, leaving her alone with the older one, Isaac apparently. She ignored the vandal comment, she was an artist darn it! And a pretty darn good one as well...though many might disagree, but still.
“So I take it you have cat genes, right? Your eyes doin’ okay?”
At his question she looked up again, eyes glowing in the dark as she finally dared to fully open them. His form was still blurry and appeared more like some kind of shadow creature than a person, yet it was slowly taking a more solid form. With a sigh Riley pulled her goggles back over her eyes, the glass changing to a light grey to fit the dark of the street.
"Yes and yes," she finally answered, not bothering to lie.
"Though I suppose the latter takes some time to fully return to normal, I guess, but thanks for asking." She slowly stood up, holding her hands up to show she wasn't planning anything stupid, and stretched to ease her sore muscles. All the running sure had tired her out and she couldn't wait to get home, take a nice hot bath and sleep in the next day. Looking up at the black and blue haired male she wondered if he had something similar planned. If they even had a place to return to... She really shouldn't think about such things when she already was in trouble.
"Anyway how long will it take your..." she hesitated, taking a quick whiff and tilting her head. Their scents were really alike, no mistaking that. "Brother? Hm yeah smells about right. How long before he will be back?" Instead of looking at Isaac, she turned her gaze to the black band on her left wrist. She could almost hear the seconds tick away and fear threatened to overcome her despite not showing in her voice.

Isaac’s brow pulled down tight and his lips parted slightly when the girl mentioned his smell. He stared at her for a moment, stunned. When he regained himself, he asked, “Did you seriously just admit to smelling us?” This wasn’t as amusing as the accidental purring or sultry voice. This was just weird. Were all gene modders this bizarre? Isaac hadn’t met many, and he’d never even talked to one, and this girl wasn’t giving him much reason to start.
He tried not to insult her too much, though, and he left it alone after that, just leaning away until his back touched a steel wall. After a pause, he answered her question, “Anyway, to run there and back, it’ll take him about five minutes. But considering he has to find the actual book… I have absolutely no idea. Could take him half a minute, could take him half an hour.”
His eyes then followed hers when she stared down at her wrist. The band didn’t seem like anything special, but he could see the worry on her face. Why she looked that way, he didn’t know, but he could take a guess.
“I’d avoid pressuring him about time too much when he comes back, if I were you.” Isaac leaned forward, his elbow on his knee, his head in his hand as he lazily swung his other foot left and right. “You might give him a reason to think you’re not where you’re supposed to be.” This was a bluff, really. Dante probably wouldn’t assume the girl had hacked her GPS, but Isaac was curious to see how the girl would react, to see if his guess was right.

Riley stared blankly at him for a moment. Did he really expect her to answer that right after she already confessed to having cat genes? Instead she just sighed and shook her head, there were more pressing issues like time and the time it took to get home and her father who would most definitely start to suspect something by now.
A shiver travelled down her spine at the mere thought of having to face her father or worse, her grandfather. Neither would be happy to discover about her late night shenanigans, no matter the precautions taken...illegal precautions, but it was something right? She sighed again, combing her fingers through black and rainbow locks. If she appeared at the mansion like this, heh, Riley wasn't about to start going down that lane.
So in response to the given time indication, she said somewhat tensely: "If he takes longer than ten minutes, I'll leave whatever price you think he'd fine me and I'm off...and trust me this time," she paused looking him directly in the eye, a mixture of playful challenge and determination present in her own. "You won't be able to catch me."
A sweet smile followed as she walked over to lean again the wall next to the container. Her eyes were almost back to normal, they'd be fine after ten more minutes. So, she listened more than watched as he shifted and gave her advice. A single eyebrow rose at his words and her head tilted slightly to the side to show she was listening before a chuckle escaped her.
"Heh, him or you? Though...from the way you've been acting it doesn't seem like you care as much." Crossing her arms, Riley tapped the black bracelet, bringing its virtual screen and keyboard to life. Immediately a small timer showed itself in the corner of the screen, but was promptly ignored, instead she started browsing newsfeeds and music. She wasn't about to give in so easily.

Isaac smirked. He pulled his hand away from his cheek and held up a single finger, saying, “You get one point there. Missed the other one, I’m afraid.” Then, with a huff, Isaac hopped off the dumpster—a move he regretted instantly when he felt his side ache. It took everything to hide the wince of pain. He brushed one hand over his side, and he felt his undershirt was damp. There wasn’t a river of blood or anything, but there was more than he would have liked. He must not have noticed the wound open up again during the chase. At least his jacket hid it well.
“I actually care more than you’d think,” he said, acting as if nothing had happened. He looked to the girl, his silver eyes glancing down at her digital display. Yeah, that was all he needed to see at this point. He had hoped she’d say something more concrete, but he had a good idea of what she was doing here, and more importantly why she was painting graffiti.
“Go,” he said with a wave of his head. “And don’t leave any money. Dante can’t turn it over anyway without filling out a ticket, and this city’s got more to worry about than a little graffiti. It’s not gonna kill ‘em. Besides, those wagons were kind of dull.”
Isaac walked away from the dumpster and stood by the opposite wall, his hands in his pockets, trying to make it obvious that he had no intentions of catching the girl again.

She grinned as he gave her a point, shaking her head, but not looking away from the screen. At least not until he told her she was free to go.
Riley frowned as she slowly raised her head to gaze at Isaac. Closing the display with a single swipe and not taking her eyes off of him she cautiously asked: "Why?" Had he thought it not worth the trouble after all? But what about the caring more than she thought comment? He didn't seem - thought her sight wasn't too reliable at the moment - nor sounded nervous. Opening her mouth ever so slightly she tasted the air once more and immediately regretted it.
"Ugh what the hell man?!" she exclaimed spluttering as she took several long strides back, arm covering her mouth as she looked shocked. "Shit, shit...blood, you're bleeding why are you bleeding?" Eyes wide, she pointed at him with her free hand, the question sounding more like a demand as she fought a wave of nausea. Riley hated the smell, the taste, of blood. Metallic, musky and sickly sweet at times and it was in abundance around him, pouring out in too great a volume.
Taking a few more steps back, Riley seriously considered running. He seemed fine and his brother would return soon...right? UGH!
Still clenching her hand over her mouth and nose, she was quick to open her hip-bag. After some clumsy rummaging around, Riley finally found the small pack she was looking for and threw it rather unceremoniously at her former pursuer.
"Take it! It's -urk- Novi-gel...I gotta go..I'm sorry...Thank you," she spoke between gagging and stumbled past him, hand now clutching her stomach. She was happy she'd at least be back in Upper class before the timer reached zero, home was another question but it was better to be found roaming the streets of Upper class instead of Lower. The only thing she hadn't thought about as she took off was the Corporation's logo printed on the novi-gel pack.

Another smirk crossed Isaac's face when the girl asked "why." But soon, she asked it again, but for something that ripped Isaac's smile right off.
She backed away from him, holding her nose and complaining. Isaac shushed her through his clenched teeth, but she just kept talking. "It's not a big deal," he tried to explain. "Just keep quiet, dammit. I'm an acrobat. This shit happens." As if that could honestly explain this much blood without a broken bone poking out of his skin.
The girl probably didn't even hear his excuse, as her sensitive nose seemed so turned off by it that she started to run away after throwing him some tiny, lumpy packet. Isaac caught the Novi-gel and looked down at it, then back to the girl, but she was already long gone, sprinting down the alley. He wondered if maybe she was hemophobic on top of sensitive to smell. The idea of her "tasting" his blood in the air hadn't even crossed his mind.
He looked back down at the Novi-gel, and he turned it over in his hand to find the slit in the packaging. When he flipped it once, though, he stopped. His brow furrowed tight, and his eyes narrowed at something strange. There was a logo across the package, but not one of the brands he'd seen on Novi-gel before. Maybe a high class company? Unlikely to be a startup company, not in this city. Something about the logo seemed familiar, though. He had seen it somewhere before, just not on Novi-gel.
Then, it hit him, and it hit him twice. Isaac remembered the girl's bracelet. When she had checked the time, he saw the logo appear on the screen, and there was even a tiny one on the bracelet itself. Stretching his mind further back, he remembered the weapons manufacturer he had robbed a few weeks ago. A few of the crates in the storage room had the same logo. It was another company that he had robbed, but some of the tech inside belonged to this one, too. Calhoun Corporations, he thought. Isaac didn't know much about the Upper Class, only the things that Madam Roux had told him, but she had certainly mentioned Calhoun Corp. before.
Why would a gene and tech mod company have Novi-gel? Unless… maybe it's just been repackaged or relabeled. Isaac wasn't sure. Maybe they could make Novi-gel, but that didn't seem like Calhoun's market. The package was tiny, anyway. It didn't seem like something they would sell, more like something they would give their employees.
Isaac's eyes flared, and he grimaced. Slowly, he looked back toward the alley, thinking, This could be a problem…
