"It's not vandalism...It's Art! Beautiful, colourful Art!"
Full Name: Riley E. Calhoun
Age & Date of Birth: 20 | November 16
Gender: Female
Class: Upper Class
Occupation: Gene/tech mod developer (in training)
Affiliation: Civilian
Genetic Modifications:
Unique Tech:
Items:
Appearance: sketch [wip] Shenanigan Outfit (full)
Until I finish the sketch; 5'5", athletic figure quite muscular, hair colour occasionally shifts between red (real colour),
black and black with rainbow streaks (dyed, no gene mods). Has pale silver eyes (glow) and tattoos on both arms and her back.
Port location: Base of skull
Personality: Having been raised in the Upper Class, Riley spend most of her time studying and perfecting whatever skills her parents could come up with. She is very clever, but also very awkward and lives mostly in her head. Riley is more than a little spoiled and too blunt for her own good. She likes to think she is funny, but usually comes off as flirty or distant. Her bluntness and flirty behaviour hide a shy and uncertain person with low self-esteem. Nevertheless she is kind-hearted, creative and quite open-minded given the environment she was raised in. Though this same environment has made her secretive and manipulative as well, especially after her mother was send to the Lower Class. This event also left her bitter and vengeful and most determined to figure out what happened.
Background:
Calhoun Corporations, a large business enterprise mostly into the development of gene and tech mods with weapon manufacturing on the side. Brought to live by Douglass F. Calhoun (Riley's grandfather), it stands tall and proud amongst rival businesses.
Having been born into the family, Riley's education started from a young age. Her mother originally came form the lower Middle Class and due to this heritage nothing ever was good enough for her grandfather - who saw anyone not born or first time Tested Upper Class as lesser. So to prove their daughter's worth, Riley's parents came up with whatever they could think of for their daughter to study and improve on.
Like all Upper Class children, Riley served with the Common Police from 16 to 18 before taking the Test. Fearing something might happen, Riley's parents equipped her with several gene modifications 'just to be prepared'. At first she wasn't too thrilled about it, but quickly came to realize they were indeed quite handy.
While she enjoyed her time in the field she started seeing the differences little by little, but never thought much of it or at least tried not to think much of it. Even after 'passing the test' at 18 she still didn't think much of the whole system, following its rules idly and doing whatever her parents expected from her. Which lead her to higher education, to study tech development and gene research.
A year into her new habitat, Riley got the message that her mother was about to retake the test. She felt happy and hopeful for if her mother would score higher her grandfather had no choice but to accept the both of them.
Everything went downhill from there. Due to being sabotaged her mother fell back all the way to Lower Class, leaving both Riley and her father in shock. Unbeknownst to both, her grandfather - in the month prior to her mother's retake - went all out to make sure Riley's mother would go back to where she came from. This went from severe manipulation and downright physiological abuse to applying small doses of poison (enough to make one feel ill, but not enough to cause permanent damage). He managed to do all this without Riley and her father finding out, by using other people - both close and not - to fill the roles. A co-worker giving bad advice? Paid to do so. A friend making a nasty comment? Paid. The doses of poison? Again he used people to obtain it and apply. After all money makes the world go round.
Not understanding left her bitter and angry, especially when they lost all contact with her mother not even a year later. Her father - now scared out his mind and paranoid - was quick to demand that his daughter came home to continue her education within the main-building, where she was under constant supervision of security officers and cameras.
All went well for about a month when Riley discovered no one was actually looking for her mother - her father being too busy and scared for his daughter, while her grandfather felt like order had finally been restored. This was the final straw. Riley decided to take matters into her own hands and started rebelling against all her grandfather stood for. Rules? She'd break them. Cleanliness and pristine buildings? She'd cover them in paint with words of freedom. No mother? Well, she'd just search until clues arose and then she would find her mother. The system was wrong and if they didn't want to see it, she'd make them.
Timeline:
Calhoun Corp.
[/ul][/spoiler]Age & Date of Birth: 20 | November 16
Gender: Female
Class: Upper Class
Occupation: Gene/tech mod developer (in training)
Affiliation: Civilian
Genetic Modifications:
- Eyes adapted to see in the dark - Can see as well in the dark as a cat, sensitive to flashes of bright light (note to self: think eyeshine from Riddick :')
- Enhanced hearing - can hear twice as well as an average human.
- Carbon Fiber Bones (spine & legs)
- Gene splice (cat) - vomeronasal organ (can 'taste' chemicals/scents in the air; she can smell things/people from a range of about 150 feet, but the more confounding factors are present the less accurate her sense of smell becomes), flexibility, sharp canines and can purr/hiss. (the last two weren't exactly planned)
Unique Tech:
- HVB - high vibration blade, a 20 inch blade with improved cutting ability by applying high frequency vibration sounds. The blades have to be changed regularly since the vibrations also damage the metal (blade change after 5 hits).
- MFB - multi functional bracelet (prototype), a tight fitting, light weighted, but sturdy computer in bracelet shape. It creates a virtual screen and keyboard. While the market version is more of an entertainment device, the prototype was made with a lot of hidden code which is used to hack into and override systems for a short while (has a 60 cm long, 5mm broad wire embedded in the bracelet).
- Can connect to the user's NUIP and dampen the locater for 3 hours tops.
- Can create a false ID which lasts for a max. of 3 hours of can be used twice before being erased.
- Hacking codes are hidden among normal data.
- Due to being a prototype, the MFB still malfunctions every now and then.
- Is prone to overheating when used excessively.
- Can connect to the user's NUIP and dampen the locater for 3 hours tops.
- Cloaking Device - A small chip which can be attached to the MFB and form a full body cloak which lasts for about 20 seconds before needing to recharge. [Not yet acquired]
Items:
- Multi-colour Spray Painting Can - basically was the name says. Has a volume large enough for 4 large pieces (or 6 small ones) before needing to be refilled with special cartridges.
- Tinted Goggles - a pair of goggles with tinted glass, it can switch from black to a light grey to accommodate Riley's eyes.
