How do Scavengers make money? Money is all digital, right? It's just data chips/USBs and/or instant transfer of funds from implant to implant, right? So can a Scavenger actually earn money by collecting those data chips? And if not, then do they survive purely by stealing food and clothes directly?

Ok so the port puts through magix - but what other stuff can it put through? If it acts as a data + drugs for that, would it act the same for antibiotics/immunizations/etc? Could this be an alternative way to apply more complex medications (ie - something that might require more biological instruction than just taking advil or something)?

IsaacScavengers can collect the chips, yes. Essentially think of it as like that the chips are cash, and that just scanning the NUIP is a debit card. Any official payments and most stores will only take/add directly from/to the NUIP, but chips aren't super rare either. They're just an odd way to pay because it's not like one chip = one dollar; you have to preload each chip with a set amount of money from your NUIP. So Scavengers can trade and use chips to pay for things if they've received them from others, but unless the person they're trading with has an NUIP, they'd have to give away the entire chip with all the money on it. kyneThat's correct, yes! It can be used for more complex medications and treatment, like the chemical therapy for after gene mods for example. Obviously if something needs to be physically changed inside your body ( like if you needed something removed ) it can't do that, but it can essentially act like a built in IV.

how accessible is Novi-gel, in this universe ? relatively cheap, so that even someone of the slums could purchase one if they had a decent amount in their pockets, or is it a sort of luxury only available to someone middle class and higher ? :>

Ooooh, I wanna add on to that question because I've been having knock off brands of Novigel be a thing in my RPs. Like, it works the same way as the actual Novigel but it's super cheap and isn't nearly as effective. In my mind, I've been comparing it to Neosporin lol

oh, and another question real quick-- can you be wealthy and be a part of the middle or lower class, or poor and a part of the upper classes ? i've been wondering, since you have to be tested into a class once you're of age, and wealth has nothing to do with intelligence, etc, would it be possible at least ?
edit//
LAST QUESTION I SWEAR.....
what happens when an underage kid's parents are murdered/pass away, in relation to wealth and property ? does the kid inherit it, and depending on what they score on their of-age test, decide what to do with the money and property ? or what if the kid tests into a lower class than what they were born in ?
edit edit//
so about police academy-- /HIT do they get paid for their work ? receive a stipend while they're enrolled in the academy ?

Regarding what was said about Scavengers being able to load up magic code because their chip still works essentially, just without the tracking information active. Does that mean that they are able to still use their ports for other tech? Such as items to amplify their magic or modifications, or are they cut off from those?

NewtonIt's accessible for everyone, just varying qualities and quantities depending on the class. It's pretty much the all purpose medical item that everyone could get their hands on. and LeveninA knockoff brand is totally cool, just like how Magix has knockoffs /o/ Memes1) Testing into the classes pretty much guarantees you're going to be making a paycheck similar to that class. While you can be 'poorer' by upper class standards, you'd still be more well off than middle or lower class. Part of the privilege of being a higher class is also a higher paycheck to match it. However, the paycheck is only guaranteed because you are also expected to hold a job in your class. While all members of Upper Class are guaranteed a high paying job, if a member chooses to laze around and be unproductive or fails extremely at work, then it is likely they will be dropped down in rank. Upper Class members may be rich, but they are still expected to produce for society at a level equal to that of their test rank. 2) Family isn't really something that's stressed in Novus, so property transfers would only happen in the child tested into that rank and actually wanted to keep it. If they tested into a lower class the wealth / property would be forfeit. 3) They would receive a stipend, yes! Police kids gotta eat too, right? /hit Soup They'd still be able to use other tech, yes! Of course, that also all depends on what the specific tech would be ( such as something that could alert the SP to them being active, or something similar that could get them in deep water ), but they could use it. CrowlinGallanusAt the moment, the Secret Police do not have an official symbol, no. This is mostly on the basis that they are a secret force and not meant to be showing off who they are anyways. As for ranking, all members of the Secret Police ( barring Executive positions which are NPC atm ) are officially considered to be of equal rank.

A question on culture was answered earlier, but what about language? Is it possible that evolved forms of languages we know today still exist (not just in Novus but in other city domes too)? It wouldn't have to be exactly like French, German, or Korean or something, but you could trace "modern" form of the language back to those origins. Does something like that exist in re:DUX?
Also- is it possible to mix magic chemicals for unique effects? Like mixing ice and acid to create toxic ice crystals (and put into ur bff's drink for a killer flavor :^) /hit). Whether or not that's possible- What are the side effects of someone mixing magic together? I imagine the overdose effects could be more severe or arise more quickly.
