As she was tinkering away, one tour member was kicking at the door and the other, the pink hair male that helped them over the first hurdle was....caressing the door? Gaia made sure to shift a bit to give the man some room but as they were working on the door, a force blew them backwards and then all of a sudden a shrieking voice echoed throughout the room. Gaia's eyes slowly drifted to the doorknob that was morphing into a disgruntled face that was screaming about them being so rude.
If there was one thing that Gaia hated, was being scolded. She hated it when she was a child under her mother's thumb and she hated it now while she was being screamed at by a door. It happened so suddenly that when it initially happened she couldn't help but just stare. But then when her mind registered what was happening, being nagged by a giant door with a voice so haunting she thought her very soul was smacked out of her body, her eyes widened and turned ghostly white before she fell backwards and fainted.
Never again....Never again will I ever do anything haunted again! I'm docking Athena's pay, I swear to the gods I hate this.
All Gaia could do was stare with wide eyes and she was having an internal struggle about this tour. She didn't start to snap out of her own thoughts until she hear the boy with white hair trying to coax the door into calmness while the girl who was punching the door was now trying to kick it. "D-darling don't u-upset her more?" Gaia stammered as she straightened herself and took the boy's side. "I must agree with my young friend. We didn't realize you were such a intelligent sentient door. A door made of mahogany no less. I mean really, how could we be so blind to your beauty? Your mahogany form is so rare to us you see we just had to...understand you more. Would you ever forgive us?"

At the screeching of the door, Taylor slightly turned, just in time to see her tree team-mates being blown away while the doorknob - which now had a face - started off a tantrum.
...
.....
Oh this is priceless!
She would have loved having this piece of tech if only to see people's reactions and speaking of those; Taylor snickered while nodding when Dante asked if they saw it too. That was exactly the reason she liked this, but back to the puzzle. The brunette now started to get more of the texts, seeing as the door talked. Though she wondered if sweet talking it would help them progress. After all, this was the most pissed off door she'd ever seen...even the thought was hilarious. They certainly had ruffled its feathers.
Turning back to the text, she read it once more and took the few steps forward to stand next to Dante and closer to the door. Well, apart from the face it looked like a regular old door. It would fit in one of the many stories she'd read actually.
"Not sure we should be the ones apologizing," she said bending slightly toward the boy before turning back to the door again. "But I suppose asking wouldn't hurt anyone. Sooooo, can we pass? ...if not I suggest to put some of that red stuff on the face...y'know for science and to see what would happen." Her grin was a little devilish, but honestly Taylor just wanted to hear it whine again. Maybe she could ask for a sound file? That would be awesome.

Nothing seemed to be working.
Kalax let out a sigh and pulled back from the door, ready to say something to the others about how the entire endeavor was pointless. Though, before he could even open his mouth, the force from the door pushed him back. The sudden movement had him flying forward and he landed on his knees, an instant look of annoyance crossing his face.
What the fuck was that?
It only took a moment for him to puff up and stand upright, hair flicked out of his face before turning to look at the door in utter disgust. His hands brushed over his vest and knees to remove any dust, a slight blue glow forming around his hands while he started at the door during its little rant. He wanted to cut the door down and turn it into firewood. Wouldn't it make for the perfect starting light? AH, and Kalax even had his favorite lighter.
With a smooth movement he pulled a small pink lighter out of his jacket pocket, along with a single cigarette. The annoyed expression didn't leave his face as he light the cancer stick and took a long drag, blowing the smoke away from his group. Fuck this, fuck the door, and fuck Kristopher for getting him into this bullshit. He was fired. Absolutely fired.
"This is ridiculous. It's a bloody door. I say we find an axe and just cut the damn thing down. Who knows... We might need kindling later on." His foot tapped on the ground, arms crossed in annoyance before he took another drag on his cigarette. And here he thought he might quit. Ha. Fat chance.

Messages from the other group
Well they certainly had...interesting responses to the door. A few who seemed somewhat afraid of it, and just as many who seemed very genuinely angry at it. She almost felt bad for it. But it was hard to feel that way for an inanimate object. But...some methods were bound to work out better than others. Lucente watched impassively, her hand still in front of her mouth, as once more the force knocked Ellie back from her attack. Forgive her pun, but it should have been clear violence was not the key here."HMMMMMMM. IT SEEMS O N E OF YOU HAS SOME BASIC M A N N E R S HERE. REALLY. ALL I DO EVERY DAY IS OPEN AND CLOSE FOR YOU THAN K L ES S PEOPLE AND I CANT EVER EVEN GET A P L E A S E ? WAS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK FOR? APPARENTLY IT IS TO MISS SALLY KICKS A LOT OVER HERE. NOT HOW YOU AS K F OR A FA V OR NOW I S IT. AND WOW. MAHOGANY. EXCUSE YOU. E X C U S E YOU I AM CHERRYWOOD. YOU THINK MAHOGANY CAN GET THIS BEAUTIFUL RED SHINE. NU H UH. NO WAY. ALTHOUGH AT LEAST YOU KNOW S O M E T H I N G ABOUT BEAUTY. AND FOR Y O U LESS THAN PLEASANT TWO." The doorknob scowled at Kalax and Taylor. "FOR SCIEEEEENNNNNNCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEE." Its yelling increased in volume until suddenly a large glob of the red substance fell down on the two participants, drenching them in scarlet. "YEAH. SO INTERESTING. LOOK A T A LL THIS RESEARCH IM GETTING. LIKE HOW FAST K A R M A WORKS." The doorknob began laughing, its high pitched voice ringing throughout the room. "BUT I S U P P O S E I CAN LET YOU ALL THROUGH ON ACCOUNT OF THIS ONE WELL MANNERED FELLOW HERE. A REAL EXAMPLE OF GOOD CITIZENSHIP IN THIS DAY AND AGE HE IS. AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." Its laughter continued on as the door slowly swung open, fading as the messages from the zoo tour finally made their way to this group.
Lucente lowered her hand from her mouth, coughing slightly to herself and listening to Jek's message. She was fairly certain that their attention had all been so riveted on the door knob that the hadn't noticed her lips moving in time with it underneath her hand. There were enough filters on her voice to make it unrecognizable, and she'd putting an effort into not standing out too much as a guide. And she felt a little bad to be honest with how scared the elf-eared woman had looked. But hey if they didn't know, then know harm done, right?Seriously, that was gross. Just like him and everything else he did. Him and his stupid face. Which was of course covered for this whole affair, god bless. She spent enough time looking at it, so this week was a much needed vacation. But it was time to lead them to the next room. "Ahem, if you'll follow me." Lucente moved smoothly past the group and through the door, waiting for them all to pass through. As soon as the last one had come through, the door swung shut on its own, echoing loudly through the new room. On the back of the door, written in oozing letters almost identical to the first set, were seven more phrases.[/font][li] Crumbling Ruins [/li]
[li] Cracked Ice[/li]
[li] Crystal Flowers[/li]
[li] Gravity[/li]
[li] Echo[/li]
[li] Waterfall [/li]
[li] Ledge[/li] [/ul] Lucente gestured to the room before them, a sweeping and large ballroom. Though it seemed grand, it was clear it hadn't been used ib a very long time. The chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling were decrepit, and the wall paper on all sides was peeling and showed various damp spots. Most noticeably however, was the water that covered the entire floor of the room, seeming almost like a mirror at first with its perfect reflection of the world above it. On the other side lay a heavily bolted iron door, chains and locks wrapping around its handles and securing it. "While I'm sure you would all love to stay here and imagine the revelries past, I'm afraid we must push forward on our journey. But..." She frowned tapping her index finger against her chin. "I seem to have misplaced the key to the other door. Would you perhaps find it for me?"This puzzle will last three rounds, and I will make a post between rounds to tell you what effects your actions have. The room you are currently in appears to be a fine ballroom, although all of its lights are out and it is lit only by a small amount of moonlight coming in from three large windows on the right side of the room. Although a balcony can be seen just outside of the windows, they are locked and the glass unable to be broken. Pillars spaced evenly around the room support the tall ceiling, from which unlit chandeliers hang. At the far end of the room is a large seemingly iron door which has been heavily bolted. The entire room has been flooded with a thin layer of water, but participants are unable to tell how deep it is, because they appear to walk on the water when stepping around. The water creates a perfect reflection of the room, and the participant's footsteps do not seem to disturb the surface at all. The door behind them has locked. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to message me.Hope you all had a happy (and very spooky) Halloween!

Did… did the door just open? Did the door just open because Dante complimented it? Did Dante just solve a puzzle?
The stars in Dante’s eyes could have lit the entire mansion. Thankfully, the moonlight handled it, the silver streaks passing through the tall windows, reflecting across the shimmering floor.
When Dante followed the group into this next room, his proud, excited look turned into one of curiosity. His eyes rolled along the room, up to the ceiling, and then back down to the floor. He flinched when he saw it, the chandeliers on the floor, the open air leading down to a dark pit. His heart leaped, and Dante stumbled backwards, falling down and expecting to plummet down onto those chandeliers.
But he stopped far too early, hitting the floor and nearly shattering his tailbone from the unexpected stop. Dante groaned and rolled onto his side, soon feeling a slick, cold wetness on his cheek. “Huh?” Dante examined the floor again, realizing after an embarrassingly long time that what he thought was a pit to upside-down chandeliers was—in fact—a reflection of the ceiling.
… Thank god he had solved the last puzzle.
Standing back up, Dante put a hand to his head, feigning light-headedness. He then ignored his own fall and refocused on the room, searching for anywhere that Lucente’s key could be hiding.
Wait… was there really a key? Didn’t she mention a key last time, or had Dante imagined that part? Either way, he had a feeling the room was going to need some other solution. Maybe there was a hidden switch or another talking doorknob.
Dante touched the side of his head and replayed the two messages he had received so far, the one from Uriel and the one from Eco. He played them back a few times while his eyes stared off into the distance, tilted down so he could see the reflective floor. Little by little, his brain started to tingle, and his eyes narrowed, his lips scrunching up in thought. Looking to his team, Dante said, “Hey, guys? I have… no idea what we should be doing. But I think we need fire somehow. Eco told me ‘Red bodies burn up,’ and Uriel asked me if I’d read ‘Dante’s Inferno.’ They might be connected, you know?”
In case anyone was wondering: No, Dante had not been dropped on his head as a child. This stupidity was 100% natural.
Giving his team some time to think over his idea, Dante looked back to the talking door and decided to pass along one of the messages—you know, just in case the other team needed it.
Mistook the floor for a pit and fell on his ass Repeated his messages from Uriel and Eco to the entire team Suggested they use fire… somehow Sent Flynn a message

"How much more of this can I tolerate..." Gaia muttered as she watched the door open after some compliments and a rant about karma and stuff of that nature. That was as stressful as living with her mother and her mother was a handful to say the least. As the door opened and the group gathered their bearings to continued forward into the next area, Gaia's general mood continued to worsen with each trial. Why was she here? It wasn't like she was doing this for any sort of charity and she wasn't doing this to get a date. So in why in all great creation was she here and suffering in such a matter.
As she was in her own thoughts she decided to go through her messages and lo and behold she had a message from apparently the tour guide of the tour Athena was on. And unlike the others that got possible some clues she just had a silly message for her own tour guide. "Lady Lucente the guide that is trying to court you says his feathers are for you." Gaia rolled her eyes and gave a small smirk. It was a cute little exchange they had and she was a bit envious of it but the fact she didn't have some of the hints was a bit of an irritation she can get over.
After several moments of walking, as seeing oozing red words again, they made it into a beautiful ballroom with all of the glitz and glamor of the past still reflecting in its dying, watery form. "I wouldn't mind staying in here for the rest of the evening." Gaia gave a sigh with content before her guide mentioned she lost the key to move to the next room. "Offff course...."
Before Gaia went on to look for the missing key she remembered to send a quick message to the next person on her list:
With that out of the way she went about her searching. "This is suppose to be a normal key right? Nothing symbolic or metaphoric I hope." She pondered out loud. She stared down into the water, noting her footsteps didn't disturb the surface. She tried to see if something in the pool could show something that she wouldn't notice otherwise.

Yep she should have seen that one coming. Nevertheless, covered in the red goo, Taylor grinned and gave a thumbs up at the door. One way or another it had screamed again and it was totally worth it. Plus, thanks to Dante and the flower lady they managed to clear the puzzle, what more could she ask for? Well, maybe a sound file of that door...
Anyway their guide now led them to yet another room. And what a room! Taylor could only nod at the flower lady's comment while turning several times to take everything in. The floor, though a little unsettling, reflected everything beautifully and she wondered how it was made and why the surface wasn't disturbed by their footsteps. It truly was very beautiful and she too wouldn't mind staying there a little longer. But alas, soon she spotted yet another wall of red words and sighed.
"Find the key...got it," she mumbled before looking at the wall and sending her next message.
Looking up Taylor hoped this key wasn't in one of those chandeliers. She had no idea how to get up there and other than the balcony outside she couldn't really think of any place where the key might be. Unless... Looking down, Taylor felt her face blanch. How deep was that water? They wouldn't have to swim...right?

Well. That was an unexpected work around. She let out a little huff, scratching her chin before moving to follow the rest of the group through the newly opened door. She paused briefly to slap Dante on the back. "Smooth thinking, runt. Seemed dumb as hell, but hey, it worked."
The ballroom had bile rising in her throat and her stomach twisting in knots. It was grander, even in its decaying state, than the typical affairs her parents would drag her to, but close enough to make her uneasy. Half buried instincts were telling her to ask one of her tourmates to dance. Make a little show for whoever might be watching. Even after all these years she still had the steps memorized.
Stepping away from the others, she activated her messages and listened, taking a breath to get herself away from unpleasant memories. Feet drag the floor, then fall. She wasn't one for puzzles; really Lev would be better suited for brain teasers. Plan a break in? No problem. Riddles and puzzles? She might as well be told to fly.
She took a deep breath and moved over, slowly dipping one boot-clad foot into the water to test it. See if it was deeper or if a trap was connected to it. If anyone here could take pain, she had a feeling it would be her.

How the little brat had actually gotten the door to open was bullshit, but that didn't really matter. What mattered was the fact that while he stared at the screaming doorknob, cigarette in his mouth, a sudden downpour of red goop fell on top of his head.
Kalax didn't move for a moment after the goo fell on top of his head. A pissed off smile spread across his face while his hand went up to wipe some of the substance off his face, flicking it in the direction of the door. Not only did it put his cigarette out, but it also ruined his outfit. He supposed it was a good thing he had on multiple layers. "I'm coming back for the door." He declared while unbuttoning his coat ( while removing his box of cigarettes of course ) and tossed it to the side as they moved into the next room. A useless and stained piece of cloth wasn't needed to continue. A hand rose to loosen his tie and unbutton the top of his shirt before running through his hair to push it back. The goo acted like a sort of hair product, and seeing as his hair was already a pink ombre, it just made the color darker.
Though, good to know he wasn't the only one less than thrilled to be there. And while the room was a lovely thing, it didn't do much to impress. Another cigarette found its way into his mouth, and once more he took the time to light and puff. Mirror tricks were played out, and there was a reason he hadn't gone first through the door. Not that it much mattered. At that point he was just following along to get things out of the way and leave. "Careful there." He called to Ellie while cupping his hands over his lips. "Don't want to trip up like the kid did." At least he was good at swimming if they ended up having to do so. Plus he could wash his hair out. A positive, after all.was - in general - a little shit not wanting to help anyone dirty wet blanket

Messages from the other group will be received in two rounds. As such, no messages will be sent out this turn.Well, one of them had a much better reaction to the surprise shower than the other did. Props to the girl for having a sense of humor. Pretty boy could try and make the covered in sticky red goop look a thing but she doubted it was gonna happen. Although the kicker of the group would probably be all for cutting the door down with him. Good thing there were no plans to move backwards through the tour. This set was expensive, and she was fairly certain they charged her a fraction for any damages a tour group made. She wasn't entirely positive, since it had never happened during one of her tours. And she wasn't eager to find out if her suspicions were right. Speaking of possible set damages though..."Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to put out your cigarette. We are inside." She offered a polite smile towards Kalax. The goo had put it out the first time so she hadn't mentioned it, but he was being terribly persistent. Really, were basic manners that hard? Clearly they were, because if pretty boy over here wasn't enough one of her participants delivered a message from bird brain himself. She frowned to herself slightly. "Sorry you had to convey such an idiotic message."But right, she should see how they were all doing with the puzzle so far. Her eyes scanned the room from behind the mask, but her brow furrowed when they passed a particular area. Why...wasn't the key there? It was definitely supposed to show up there but...well this was awkward. Lucente took a few steps forward onto the water, her heels clicking against the smooth surface. She stopped for a moment and stared at the 'ground', searching for something in the water.
All of a sudden, what looked like a small shadow burst out from underneath her feet and she let out a short yelp, taking a step backwards. But she quickly regained her focus, narrowing in on the small creature in the reflection. It was hard to tell what it was, but it was distinctly furry and gangly. And most importantly, something shiny was held in its mouth. That would...be the key. But she definitely didn't remember anything about an animal in this room. Odd. But well...as long as they got the key, it wasn't a problem, right? She'd come up with something if they didn't get it. Probably. You have two more rounds to solve this puzzle. Reminder that your group received no messages this turn and can't send any out until they complete the challenge. The small creature is too dark to identify as any kind of animal, but looks to be the size of an average cat. It is in the reflection of the room, currently stopped next to the reflection of the center chandelier. It hold a small golden key in its mouth. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to pm me.
