Somehow she felt cold. It didn't matter. Her job came first.
Kendra pushed herself off him, careful to not let her dress catch on his clothing while she stood up and smoothed her hands over the fabric. Her hand ran through his hair one last time before she pulled away fully, though her eyes didn't leave him while she did so. Tempting to just take what she wanted before running off. Though she wasn't that type of person. Good or bad, she couldn't really know.
"We still have that business to discuss, so send me a message when you're free. And really, one meal won't break the bank." Disappointment? That might have been a good word to describe the feeling weighting down on her while she pulled on her coat and gloves. Her fist clenched as she adjusted her glove, stepping towards the door before pausing to turn and look at him from over her shoulder.
"Congratulations on graduating, Samuel. I had... Fun. We'll have to do this again one day." A genuine smile spread across her face before she left and closed the door behind her, mentally steeling herself for whatever hell she was heading towards. No distractions. She couldn't ever allow herself to get distracted - Especially not by Samuel.
